BMW E60 520d LCI original parts help!

Hi,

I'm having trouble locating some sensors for my 520d UK import e60 with the m47 engine (LCI but with the old gear and 163 bhp engine 07 manufactured), in Islamabad.

I'm basically suffering from loss of power in the initial 0 to 2500 rpm and if I floor the accelerator the check engine light comes on and safe mode is activated. If I restart the car and drive without flooring, the car will touch 140 plus but full throttle at any time will activate the engine light.

Dewan diagnostic identified a faulty rail pressure sensor as the pressure was coming around 8.2 psi instead of avg 13 which they said is normal. It also said the fuel temperature sensor is faulty and needs replacement.

My problem is Dewan is saying 45 day delivery for the pressure sensor (I already have the temperatelurr sensor) and cost excluding labor is 110,000 PKR. The same sensor from BMW UK is for 190 Pounds approx 35,000 PKR.

My two options are either have the part mailed from the UK but I have no idea if this is allowed and it won't be stopped by customs. Anyone have experience here?

Or purchase locally but I have no idea where to get a genuine original sensor new. Kabli sensors are available and I've been quoted 25 to 35000 for a used sensor by mechanics in F10 and Nazir. Their guarantee is if it works you pay...

I have had parts from UK...but my friends bought them in their baggage.....i wouldnt mind going the kabuli route....check out the kabariyas near pirwahdahi mor maybe you might get it cheaper......buying from deewan is suicide

Thanks for responding. I'm pretty skeptical about purchasing used parts for a BMW, unless there is a particular vendor who has a reputation.

I was purchasing from the UK but I need the parts asap and no one I know is coming in the next couple of weeks, which is why I was mulling a courier.
