Bike Ride, Lahore-Naran-Babusar Pass

It was a much awaited tour for me. Although I had been planning for this tour for the last three or four years but couldn't really execute it. Although I have done several short trips in the past but this was my first ever long bike ride, the previous long being a one day tour from Lahore to Rohtas Fort.

For the initial part of journey it was me, myself and I that started from Lahore as Waqas @Monoo had to join me from Islamabad along with another friend of his so I celebrated the Harley slogan of "The Eagle Flies Alone" from Lahore to Islamabad. In order to avoid heavy traffic flow of GT road I left Lahore around 4am, however just before Gujranwala I met heavy rain and had to stop for about 45 minutes. As the journey resumed, I met rain again just after crossing Jehlum.

We left from Islamabad next morning. Arrival of Waqas and his friend Usman at the meet point. We left Islamabad around 5:30am.

For the YBR fans. The 125G performed pretty well with the GS500, despite having loaded with panniers and lot of luggage the bike did well on curves and going uphill, especially on the heights of Babusar Top YBR had much less breathing problem compared to the two GS500

We did the first stop at Abbotabad for breakfast, and after that it was all about pics. Stopped for a few pics before Balakot where the rel beauty begins..

As the roads are in pretty good condition so the whole ride was a lot of fun. Cold breeze, light rain amid twisty roads was great fun.

Next day, the plan was to visit Babusar Top. Of all Naran valley, perhaps the most beautiful view from the road side is to be seen on the Naran-Babusar Top road, therefore we missed no opportunity to take pics wherever we stopped.
