Best Home Theater Systems?

which is the best in market nowadays and what are the update prices?
and the best place to buy?

go for harmon kardon amp with some good speakers
and plz dont opt for the **** sony 6.1 which has horrible column speakers and two woofers cause in your budget u will be greatly tempted by those (in case).

raise your budget a bit and find 1 good audio system.

probably a sharp, toshiba, panasonic or sony will fit in that budget, next in line will be klispch , polk, basic models if your flexible with budget.

dont go for sony when buying speakers,, there r better speakers from other companies in same range.

I got a Sony 5.1 system some time back from Dubai (Amp+SW+speakers, no DVD player) and it is good.

Just recently I got another one abroad, its a Yamaha (YHT-185). With same wattage as the Sony, its quality is much better than the Sony. Very clear and balanced sound.

I would recommend Pioneer and Yamaha in your budget. They are available at Nashco electronics, Zamzama.

Sony, Philips etc are mediocre. OK, but not for audiophiles.

Another good option would be Logitech or Creative Mega/Giga systems, they are really good too. Plus u can connect them to your PC as well as home theatre.

Personally, I like big speakers (the floor standing ones), but they are not in vogue these days. They produce the best sound.

go for something better, but then you need to increase your budget by at-least 50-60k.

for instance a decent amp with hdmi input/output will cost about 25,000.
a really good center speaker will cost about 26,000
floor standing fronts, around 28,000
floor standing rears, around 25,000
a subwoofer, around 18,000
wiring for about 3,000

This is pretty much brands like Jamo, Polk Audio, Yamaha etc.

best sound is when your speakers are sitting inside your room ascoustics just like you,,,LOL. and your wife and kids keep bumping into them

i mean speakers give better soundwhen they are in inner room acoustics,, otherwise keep them away from any hard surface at least 2 feet to reduce boombass

increase ur budget by 3 folds and get b&w (lahore) 600 series bookshelfs all around with decent yamaha(islamabad) denon(karachi) onlyo pioneer dolby/dts HD compatible recevier.

if u can increase ur budget then fo for KEF or DENON
u ll love them, dont go for sony,jvc,philips,samsung
