Think of it as this way. A thief snatches your cell phone and starts running in the other direction. You have 2 weapons in your car, a 9mm pistol and a bazooka. What would you shoot with him at? A 9mm would put him down without significant risk to his life which mean s no police case and resultant tension for you. If you want to kill him, then 2-3 bullets would do the job. On the other hand, 1 fire from bazooka would definitely kill him and then cause some more damage. Which one would you chose?
Similarly, an inferior quality rubbing compound would cause less erosion of clear coat and if more is needed, that can be done by applying more force. Anyways, everyone is entitled his opinion. I feel I am better off with a normal rubbing compound and you feel the same for 3m. Lets hope we both are correct at our own ends
