Barabus Sports Car Ltd. (not to be confused with Brabus, the Mercedes-Benz tuner) has been working on a 1005-bhp supercar for the past ten years. Now that's dedication.

It's being unveiled at the British Motor Show in London this week, but we were getting impatient waiting for pics. A quick email to Barabus resulted in these pictures of the hyper exotic sports car that's powered by a 6.0L V8 with twin turbochargers and dual intercoolers. We were told by the company its website should be ready by tomorrow, at which time there should be a lot more information on this potential Veyron killer.

well pointed out kahmed, alot of S7 cues in this car. Seems like after 10 years of trying the guy gave up and ripped off the name from one company and the design from another. LOL!!

but saleen himself has admitted that the design of s7 has been taken from different cars like mclaren f1 n others...i dont like s7 atall..i think its a copied car

Now that looks like a car atleast as compared to Bugatti. Lets see when the Topgear guys test it.

The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) is £360,000

1005 BHP
0-60: 1.67 seconds
Top speed: 270mph

The TKR engine is designed and built by Barabus and incorporates modern racing motor technology and engineering. Based on a V8 all aluminium block re-engineered by Barabus, the twin turbo dual intercooler motor generates 1005 horsepower at 6800 rpm; redlining at 7500 rpm. Space age materials and engineering are used throughout:

  • A Barabus Electromech control system computer handles engine management.
  • The ignition system is integrated coil-on-plug.
  • A longitudinally mounted transaxle, with unique Barabus bell housing, transfers power to the wheels.

The car is to be made in Italy and the power plant is built in the United Kingdom.

guyz don't you think thats a bargain (relative term ofcourse) for a 1000 bhp car??

the only other cars producing 100 bhp (that i know of, tuned cars excluded) are the cadillac sixteen which still remains a concept .....

the other one of course is the Bugatti 16/4 Veyron which is selling for over $1.8 million these days...

it is a bargain given the figures ....

too bad i still cant buy one even if i were a hundred times richer than i currently am

11 months later

veyron does 0 to 60 in 2.5.......n there is a rumor that VW looses 2million for even veyron they sell they made it so they can showcase their engenerin experties.....no 1 know weather it true or not but 1.6 is mind blowin....

nice dig but bad car !!

btw can u ppl tell me for wht this much power is usefull for ? :S

when m driving very fast in the normal traffic going ma meter says 80 to 90km/h ... pagal hi hein yeh log bhi more speed crap more cost more accidents .. no use .. koi kaam ke cheez nahi bana saktay for working 10 years ? like less fuel more comfort more cheap easy operating blah blah

sick stuff
