@ ROBIN...a very childish comment!!! Is this the best u can do???? One person @JAAN99 says if the brakes fail then manual is the best….other says if the battery fails manual is the best LLLLOOOOLLLLLZZZZZZZ … come on u guys cut this crappy bullshit …..if u guys don’t hav anything technical (adv or dis adv) then don’t come up with dumbass stuff…@robin what type of a driver or a car enthusiast r u if u cant even manage small maintenance checks like battery, tires and stuff????....if u take a little interest in cars …which I don’t think u do…then u wud be able to avoid such inconveniences………right??
@waqarJSE as i said before...here in pakistan there is a big misconception abt auto transmission which is that people think auto trans is good fr motorways and not fr cities ..this is totally wrong perception sir!!......infact auto is the best possible option fr pakistani roads and traffic...it is equally good fr murree road as well as a hilly area....as shoaibm suggested u get D3, D2, D1 (L) options which means u hav got all the gear options that a manual trans has got....in case of hilly area u need traction and fr that purpose u use D2 & if required D1(L)..........
@HHH let me add sumthing here....yup there is a slight difference btw auto and manual pick.....auto trans has a built in mechanism called "CREEP"(a feature of automatic transmission vehicles whereby the vehicle moves slowly without using the accelerator)...both in case of forward gead and reverse gear!!!which means that if ur stuck up at murree road u just need to use the brakes....u release it & the car moves without pressing the accelerator and vice versa...so u avoid a great deal of hassle...................so coming back to the point of initial pick....the creep system allows the car to move the very moment u release the brakes…and when u press the accelerator…(soonai pay sohagaa)….it takes a very sharp pick..(eg 1.6 GLi)which is some what better or equals a manual trans.......and there is no initial pick problem at all!!!
