Army Medical College Personality Tests and Final Interview Information required

Salam dear fellow PWers!

Hope all of you viewing the thread are fine and enjoying good health.

as the topic may suggest, I am a candidate for the 37th MBBS batch in the army medical college Rawalpindi. By the grace of Allah almighty, I have cleared all the preliminary tests i.e academic, intelligence, physical and medical. Passed thru without a slightest hitch, Alhamdolillah in the first attempt, relying purely upon my own capabilities.

Today, I have recieved a call letter, requiring me to report for personality tests and final interview for selection into the batch. And I need help.

Well, I have no idea whats in these two tests, what are they gonna ask, what are they gonna do. Its NOT ISSB, please donot confuse it with ISSB tests.

I did ask a fe army personnels for info but they are not related to army medical field so all they could help me with were the general questions asked in the ISSB interviews and tests.

What I need is any person who might have tried his luck in these tests and may be of some help to me, in any slightest way, or probably if any one has a member in the family who's related to army medical field. Who is somehow related to what goes on over there at the time of selection and the way its different from the general ISSB.

I just wish I can ever pay back to the one who helps me in this regard cz I have hardly 10 days to make up my mind in accordance with the tests.

I applied last year....
All tests....
Initials.... Personality..... Interview.... Final medical.....
But unfortunately.... I couldn't join..... Bcuz my documents were bound in college....
I wish u best of luck....

Its nothing technical, Just be your self and everything will go fine. Well be reasonable... dont be too Islamic or too liberal, too hard or too soft. Answer everything in a balanced form.

congrats on passing the test..(H)

R you applying as a

1)paid candidate / self finance or

2)compulsory induction into Army..

I am asking because you should seriously reconsider your option if applying in the second category.
Also take an advice from some one in Army medical corps before joining.. Also if you ve a close relative in top ranks then join this med college eyes closed..

I believe the doctors Induction into Army these days is is too low due to less financial benefits as compared to other branches.. gone are the days when it was a financially viable option now you ve got opportunities like

own Clinic
PLAB (UK)
USMLE (USAI
Austrailia and canadian immigration
Saui Arabia and UAE jobs:)

I would give you a brotherly advise not to.. if the above condition is not present.. Professionally you can excel a lot just after a few years in civil colleges including inside and outside the country training and jobs..

restrictions in the med corps compel you to lose your professional competency and lag far behind financially..

otherwise if you have a charm of uniform then you must join..

After spending 34 years in service at AMC , my dad got retired in 1999 as a Psychiatrist . He is currently overseas otherwise I would have recommended you called him as he remained at ISSB as well for 3 years in mid 80's. anyways good luck..

And by the way my brother a doc never went to AMC and did his USMLE, final few months in residency and already signed a $250K a year contract in Chicago. Also for my sister my dad never recommended AMC and she did her Australian medical board and now in training in Brisbane. I would say keep on studying for US steps if you are looking into multiple options. Doing Steps early after graduation is much better as my brother always used to say. bhai I have cleared all the intials tests so the question is ...is everyone who has cleared the initials are called for the interview at the GHQ Rwp.???
