Are aftermarket android head units good?

Looking to replace oem navi unit in my 2013 civic with an android one. Saw some ads on olx & daraz, they typically look like this:

Is that the only one available in lahore? Any one has experience with this? I see many more choices on aliexpress but don't want to order expensive one and regret it later. Key features I want:

1. Responsive, doesn't get slow or reboot etc
2. Touchscreen should work just like mobile phone, oem navi I have to press really hard for touch to work
3. Good sound quality
4. Work with existing Steering wheel controls
5. Front and Rear cameras
6. A volume dial would be really nice to have

You wont get a volume knob in chinese units

All chinese units are different, its like the windows AC people used to get from Peshawar the smuggled ones chal gya tou chal gya warna nai chala. Shopkeepers will give you 2-3 version with things like this is normal lcd this is IPS lcd this is gorilla glass always the best one.
For the specs use apps like CPU-Z to confirm RAM

Sound quality of chinese units is not that great.

All chinese units have support for Front and Rear camera and steering wheel control.

Is there an alternative to chinese units? How much RAM should I go for 2GB? Is android upgradable in these?

1GB-16GB is sufficient for auto navigation and basic functions.
Mostly come with Android Go 8.1. Upgrade is not needed at all.
There are some good Chinese android panels which have very good sound output. Check and then buy. Price is Rs. 12-14k

I called a famous shop in hall road, he quoted 3 units 11.5K, 14K and 18K. He said they look the same but have different specs, all have android 8.1 + quad core. Ram + Rom depend on price and they also support front/rear cameras.

The thing I'm concerned about is the boot time, since backup camera is needed within a few seconds of startup?

Boot time is very quick, and for back camera it's quicker.

Is your unit made by Orientech? One thing I forgot to check was screen brightness, is it adjustable? I read complaints that its too bright at night?

Yes, I think it's Orientech. Screen brightness is adjustable. When you turn on the lights at evening or night, the screen's brightness automatically reduces to the set level. No worries here.
