Considering 1.6 Manual (6F,1R) is Dual VVTi, better weight to power ratio as compared to 1.3 Gli (5F,1R) which is VVTi on intake end only, variant (discontinued now), both dont have ACIS, so considering all these specs wanted to know the fuel averages ppl are getting.
I have Gli 2014 (old shape) manual (doesnt matter much as new shape just has lil extra weight), gives me 15 Km/L in city (Lahore), if i drive in economy freak mode, 13 to 13.5 Km/L if i just be lil careful and 11 if no care at all. revving above 3k kills the economy but keeping between something like 2.5-2.7K rpm is the sweet spot, below and above really kills it.
As for long route, 120 km to 130Km 13.5 Km/L on motorway whereas on GT Road type drive with foot management gives like 14 - 14.5 Km/L... flooring it above 130 Km economy drops like hell and as revvs top u.
My understanding is altis 1.6 manual with 6 F, is for sure going to give much higher economy on long at higher speeds too, as 6 F should ensure capping on revvs.... with higher torque rating it should be giving better results. as for in city drive, i am not sure but i think it should be giving same average as Gli 1.3 m considering Gli suffers from torque limitation at lower rpms... plus the added benefit of dual vvti....
Will appreciate if any expert can help and correct me in my observation. looking to switch to altis 1.6 manual as auto one is with ECT crap ( not sure but i think its a 4 speed one), plus i prefer manual any day of the week over auto unless the car is having much higher HP/ torque rating...
please note, i know 1.6 the chass factor and all but lets stick to the query between
Note: Gli 1.3 m and altis 1.6 m both have same tyres and rim type (Euro 195/65/R15- with steel rims)
just to add i am not an economy freak, i love racing around,1.3 manual aint bad but limits u as speed crosses 100km...
between 1.8 manual one is lil out of my budget but anyone has and idea about it can share too but i think it should be having more chass factor with slighly lower fuel economy or maybe the (ACIS) factor helps to cover the gap...
Thanks in advance for helping out...
