5K would be enough.
4-5k no makhan lasts more than 5k.
Around 8k is safe for lm 10w40.Plus even if u drive it for 12k it won't kill the engine..
Drain intervals are quoted in safe ranges. So 5-8k kay bechmein kaheen bhi u can change.
If you are using Original oil filter and air filter, then use these drain interval for good engine:
Synthetic Oil: 8,000 Km (5,000 miles)Mineral Oil: 5,000 Km ( 3,000 miles)
can we use it in older engines 150k km+ ? I want to use it in suzuki alto vxr around 150k km drivencurrently im using zic 20w-50
No body can guide u without seeing your engine condition.My brother's Alto is 2001 model Car is 195 K driven but as it is using Mineral 10w40 since start so still not a single drop of oil gets disappear or leak. Engine is sealed original yet.
Your engine is already ruined due to usage of 20w50If your seals r ok and no leakage, then u can shift to Suzuki 10w40.No need of LM or costly synthetic oil

Why ruined by using 20/50???
LM has alot of potential but due to low quality Oil Filters and dusty environment its better to change oil around 5K just to be on the safer side.
I am using LM 10/40 Mos2 and changing interval is 10000km. Car is Alto 2012
Use VIC filter. It's goof quality and tested by me on various vehicles. Can handle 13k km easily without any problems.
