Advise regarding Buying Toyota Prius 2nd generation

Salam alaikum to all fellow pakwheelers,
I am in marketing looking for decent 2nd gen Toyota Prius, my budget is around 20ish. I have few options in my mind. But the thing is i am afraid of buying 1.5 car as its my first 1.5cc car ever (well middle class guy hn, what u expect??). Previously i owned suzuki alto jdm.
I was looking for advice regarding buying used prius. I mean what should i look for? What fault's, if present, are absolute deal breakers? Of course i will use pakwheeles inspection service, but still i want community advice. Only thing in my mind is if engine blow is thr it means the engine is about to die OR if engine is consuming oil, it means engines life is almost over. What other things i should inspect before closing a deal?

sir every hybrid car battery has a life of 5 years max. after that when battery starts to deplete, fuel consumption goes high and the very 1st item going bad is the ABS driver unit. Prius / Aqua / FIT / Vezel all JDM auction cars are alike. The ABS is critical for Braking Regeneration for hybrid battery charging. ABS unit & Hybrid battery are high value items either from new parts source or kabli scrap.

am no master but have keen interest in Hybrid and EV technology for automobiles, plus the reading over PW has been great advantage.

Thank you for your kind reply. I had jdm alto which was good below 1lac km. After 1lac km, it begins to show to show its age and maintenance cost begins to climb which was set back for me.
In prius case, all the reviews which i saw on youtube concluded that prius is highly reliable. Even after 2 lac km drive, prius can survive with its original engine and hybrid battery, provided that it is maintained properly. The take away from review was that before buying prius, one should make sure that prius was maintained properly which is difficult for me to check. Any advice in this regard on how to check the engine and battery health is welcome. One way that i know is simply by looking at check engine light but we also know that how easily it can be manipulated. So is thr any other way?
