This will be a thread on my entire rx8 project, i am 19 years old and I live in azad kashmir
my goal with this car is not power, racing or drifting, but to have a good looking car with a sporty and reliable driving experience.
I bought this Rx8 back in july 2023 and it was one hell of a janaza.

but before we jump into that let's go over some history
i didn't know shit about cars let alone an rx8 the only cars I had driven before were a simple and humble mehran and a 2D, that's it, Im 19 as of right now with a decent online business, and as you can expect, at that time i decided that i would buy a sports car with my new found funding sources, so i looked up a bunch of ads and found one listed for around 23 something, i messaged the seller and he instantly dropped to 19 he could've gone lower but the dumb old me was happy with that, obviously with the experiences iv had now i would assume something is fishy but the old me wasn't as mature, he took us for a test drive, everything looked fine, so we came to an agreement and i got the car,
now on the way home, it started leaking petrol, and oil both.
and kept shutting down, when overheated.
The weather was ferocious that day and we couldn't go back to the seller now.
Regardless we got back home, and the Janaza was now mine to suffer.
The main problem with this car was that everything was wrong but nothing could be pointed out, also i didn't know any good mechanics and went off of Facebook recommendations of people and as you can expect got robbed pretty badly, but as a beginner that experience was necessary to have the understanding i have now of cars.
Here is everything that was wrong with it,
. Fuel line leak which was an easy fix
. Oil Chamber Leak, the previous owner tried to hide it with some magic but it came out and needed a replacement
. The fuel Pump motor was the reason the car kept shutting down when heated, this was a big hassle but in the end, was replaced and fixed.
. No Hand Break, this was a manual conversion and there was no hand break in the car, due to which the gears suffered massive wear and tear in the long term.
Wiring issues( the entire wiring was cut, the whole thing was a jugaru kaam with no way of knowing why something is going bad and where to fix, it.
There were a lot more issues but i can't list every single one.
Regardless i got looted because of my inexperience before i realized that for these projects you need to be an expert yourself to avoid scams, although the realization was late i learned my lesson.
Right now every single thing on the car is fixed and well running, it also has A/C now which is great.
But a lot of pressure to sell the car from family and friends and my workload made me decide to try and sell this thing,
When i did i got contacted by the actual experts and found some pretty disturbing facts,
The car was hit in a bad accident, i knew it was hit but it looked like a minor right fendor hit that didn't go that deep, also this car was built by the team at Project Cars PK, sold to Maaz and then came to me, as much as i would like to curse them for their lies and deceptions it was my immaturity and mistakes that led me to where i am now, and i don't regret what i learned from.
Regardless, i have it now and i have to look forward,
Selling it is an option, but it won't go for the price i want it to go for obvious reasons, now I'm planning to make it my own and keep it.
The current plan i have is this
Engine Swap:
The 1gfe even though it's a decent engine, gives way less power, sits like a brick and the fuel average is atrocious, iv noted around 4-5 on this engine, also it's too old and scrappy for parts, etc. Uploading...
Paint or Wrap:
The current paint condition of the car is deplorable and since looks are one of my main focuses, it requires a good paint job.
Denting:
The car has gap in the bumper and a slight raise in the bonnet left side due to the impact from the accident.
Functions:
Id like to return this car to it's auto state again, to be able to use the pedal shifters and the original cluster options for it.Uploading... as i said i want a smooth drive and a good looking car, as much of a manual fan as i am, this car would be better off using it as intended.

right now i need suggestions for the swap and if i can keep it automatic and enable it's pedal shifters and other functions, would appreciate all and every suggestion, im currently researching on the 4gr fe since it's the most aligned with my needs but yeh, looking forward to seeing all your suggestions and thoughts on the whole story.
