52" 3D smart LED TV (Chinese assembled), price updates and suggestions

I am planning to buy a 52" LED tv which should be smart and supports android. Checked prices in mkt and this is what i got

-- 3D smart branded around 120k with warrantee
-- same without warrantee reduce some 5-10k
-- chinese copy --- 60k or slightly less

I have been the one previously pointing out that chinese assembled tvs are not good but now i'm trying to convince myself to buy one since its half the price ... any technical assessment or price update will be apreciated .. the only thing that i hate is when colors are not real like red is pinkish and blue is purplish ... need a first hand report from those who are using these low priced tvs

I didn't check the price but these fall in the middle of branded and chinese ... my huncjh is that all tvs or 90% are chinese assembled and its just the price tags with which these shop owners try to convince us that it is "genuine" like the split ACs in mkt.

i will advise you to purchase a small size smart led tv 32" for testing... if satisfied , purchase a big one 55"... <3

and i think 32" will cost you 15k ...

Customs intelligence department seized Electronics equipment worth many crores in Isb, Pew, Lhr, Khi and a few other cities.
The LCD/LED were being imported from China in raw form and then were being stamped as Samsung. The electronics were being sold on Samsung company outlets and a couple of websites online.
The quality must be good since no one complained.
Changhong ruba is not bad. Have watched it a few times at a friend's place and I regretted spending extra money on my Samsung

changruba is big time chinese company...

Orient is local brand that gets TVs from china...just like Qmobile etc..

Both these brands have authorized dealers...

I suggest you go and look at both chinese brand showrooms and other famous brands like lg, sony, panasonic, samsung etc....then compare picture quality....

And I recommend you buy from authorized dealer.

I have a 40" LCD which is pure genuine, as it came from abroad and it has excellent pic quality .. now with trends like 50 inch plus and smart android etc .. sometimes i feel the urge (kerra) to buy one ... i do not afford the branded ones, yet a few of the cheaper models (chinese) at couple of friends and then at shops are giving excellent results .. my lcd will sell good in islamabad .. my complete household will come after eid .. if i don't sell the old lcd there now, it will sell at junk price in karachi (my guess) .. i need to decide wether to keep that old lcd and feel content or go for this chinese stuff .. though the new curved tv aand 4k are just about to be introduced in pakistan but then for sometime these will be pricy

i think like @bigmaster advised i should visi a few shops and see the results then decide and perhaps try to find a few major differences like the chinese tv are slow in channel change (read somewhere )

Dear I would recommend Chinese versions coz I'm using my 46" sony for the last one year nd believe u me it has nothing to report negative. Best Picture quality and everything. After that I also bought another 32" samsung smart +3D and that is also very good. Dont waste ur hard earned money on branded gadgets when u can enjoy the same stuff in half price. The only thing I noticed abt these Chinese sets is that their remote controls r not as responsive as they should b but that can b managed with some practice. If u r in lahore, I can guide u for the best shop here for Chinese led.

Completed my research today after a visit to regal mkt, karachi, here is my FIR (first investigation report)

-- Original come in size 46 and 55 in samsung
-- samsung smart 46" original w/o warrantee is priced at 80k (min price i got in mkt) .. model 6300
--- pic quality of sony, changong ruba, tcl, akira, etc were not at par with samsung
-- chinese had the worst picture quality
--- any tv with pic quality and colors close to samsung was orient
--- smart had two types .. fullsmart are with builtin wifi, semi smart needs a dongle .. full smart is recommended since it has more functions
-- chinese 3d doesn't convert 2d to 3d and its remote is of low qualit and it is slow in response

my recommendatio buy branded samsung or orient ..

My suggestion is to buy a jst above average product which serve u for a year or 2 coz after tat thr wil b new technology n new specs n bla bla bla......go for with out waranty samsung....

dear at showrooms the install fresh piece . and in few minutes u can't judge the quality of the led. it is better to buy a lowest prize led and try it for one or two months . then you will able to make a decision and find the difference between the original and the Chinese copy.

you are free to check out the TV for hours if you want....They're paid to make sure customers stay in the showroom as long as possible...

it's just plain stupid to buy a small one first, then buy a bigger one....let's call it the "peshawari phenomenon".

What I feel is Branded stuff is Branded stuff nothing can match it but others are not bad eventually everything comes down to $$$ and aftersales service..

I bought Nobel 32" Tv because it was half price the others It had 10 year Picture tube warranty Etc but It didnt last Got it repaired 3 times now It worthless spending money on it again.

orient and lg on display are max 40" size .. 50" plus is quite a bigger size where grains and color issues are more pronounced so your assessment could be true that orient is not that good, but the 40" orient at a shop was giving excellent result (5 other similar size and dufferent brands tv were also on display) ... i checked sony in all sizes at more than one shop and result was the same .. either it has sharpness issues or the colors are non-realistic ... sony was famous for warm colors and deep blacks but not anymore .. it has same vivid pic as samsung except when you watch samsung it is more clearer and colors are accurate ... my next stop is metro, hyperstar or makro where they sell branded stuff and more than one types is on display .. i'll post my reviews as soon as i visit aany of these stores

-- viewing angle (till the pic starts to blur or the colors start to change)
-- red, blue and green should no be pinkish, purplish or parrot green (respectively)
.. sharpness : a black text on white backgrounsd gives best assessment of sharpness
... there should not be any bluing or blurring at the four corners of the screen

then you have to make sure you check the picture settings, because it is possible they may have set the sharpness too low or too high or colors not properly adjusted etc etc.....

look for color tests online for individual models...

.. the models in pak are not the same as on net (even if the model no is same) so technical there is no source of reviews except Pahwheels .. the most you'll get are the specs from local website
.. all display models are generally fed a simple code which brings settings to standard "shop display mode ".. this is a practice world over and in pak .. it keeps the settings on one standard
.. cable is noisy when ur wiring is poor and gain setting at cable amplifier is off (contact ur cable operator he'll get u a crystal clear picture .. except for a few odd channels where the cable operators use cheap hardware and these are all free to air channels)

Haier is also very good. I bought 42" for just 40k and it isn't bad as it came with two years warrenty.
