Spotted this during my hunt for some stuff

The guy does not have the ECU to run it. They have tried to make it work with a regular 4A-GE ECU but the Supercharger does not work with that.

Can someone please explain why these pipes are there for lubrication of something inside the gearbox? is it for LSD? ALso, if 4A-GZE comes with LSD or not?

sir jee those pipes are not even attached to the tranny. they are a part of the engine water circulation system to what i see in the pics. its the water jacket with the temperature vavle and temp guage. they have placed it so to make it easily acceible due to the conjustion on the main block due to the charger setup

water pipes are seperate. there are two small black pipes getting in the tranny

Ok bro checked and confirmed the tranny is lsd but not what we are looking for gear ratio is to tall for our needs

You can run the S/C without the ECU if you make it direct by removing the electric clutch, but the supercharger will not take continous running and leads to premature failure. This engine comes with the cheapest roots type supercharger there is, Toyota really tried to save money on this engine.

Mind you there are various 4AGZ engines and they have different power levels and different engine specs.

I would not say best due to its weak S/C but better then the other variants

Get the one from the AE101 model yr 91-95 it comes with more hp and torque due to higher CR and has the Map and twin Coil ignition system

well if we run this engine without supercharger....how much its gonna produce....!
well keeping in mind..GZE varients are low on Compressions as they are supercharged....!
i think the best way to deal with it is making it 4AGTE....Turbo Conversion...well there are many successful around in globe.....one thing i know.....
this block is strong enough....!

@spectra....whats the demand...and yeah....GZE engines came up with LSD one also....i think its E58 tranny with LSD and E51 if normal one...!

Without the Charger expect about 100hp or less due to the compression. yes you are right the block is a 7 ribbed version and is much stronger then 20V block.

75hp :S......isn't that too much down...2E can make 70hps on SOHC....so 75 is bit less for it....
its wide angle DOHC having 300cc more displacement.........
well as i know....3 GZE comes

1)87~89:- 145Hp/19kg.m torque on AFM having compression of 8 using Distributor Type IGN system

2)89~91:- 165HP/21 kg.m on MAP having COmpressions of 8.9 using Direct Fire Twin Coil IGN system...!

3)91~95:- 170HP/21kg.m on MAP having Compressions of 8.9 using again Direct Fire Twin Coil IGN System...!

Difference:-the last 2 ones comes with NON TVIS/Small Port Head..as 1st one is TVIS/Big Port......!
and the last one is different from both as it comes with Oil Cooled Pistons..

well this one looks either 2nd or 3rd one to me(as notice IGN system)....! so its definately gonna make above or around 100hps for sure without charger...
turboing it will definately make it some kinda special as it already have solid internals........!

how much for it spectra bhai...and where it is lying.....!
if its with E58 LSD....its gonna kick some bad *** :D...sorry

The stock 4ac engine makes about 72 hp.
The Twincam 4age engine (bluetop) makes about 116 hp.
The US-spec 4agze makes about 140 hp at 8 psi with the help of a supercharger.
A Turbo 4age makes about 180 hp with at 8 psi of boost.
The 4agze makes about 75 hp without the supercharger.
