This oil is very much popular in Pak., India and other similar countries. Why because our "Lack of awareness" about the Engine oils. We have many examples that people have started using 20/50 even in the new cars. I've seen literally.
Anyway, I just want to write here something more to spread some awareness.
Caltex, Shell, Toyota, PSO, ZIC, Total, Guard, etc. etc. and many other companies are producing this 20W-50 oil.
But frankly Quality & durability of this oil is not good.
Please always choose good companies even to buy this thicker oil. Increase your own study base knowledge, read the broachers of oil companies, read the names of the formulas they are formally giving to their oils, dig out their repute, try to find out either they are "Self Oil Producing Companies" or just distributors or tagging their name on some other company's oil, etc. etc.
Today 95 out of 100 people have mind set on ZIC that its best oil available.
But now ZIC will be no more of same quality in Pak. Because re-packing & additional distributions has been taken place already (since last 2/3 years).
So, start believing on the new foreign companies who are trying to enter in the oil market of Pak.
Because when some new company comes, it provides the good imported oils which are quite more durable as compared with local engine oils.
Presently, focus your attentions on the new companies that are introducing their oils in Pak.
Some of these companies are
PTT Performa (Self Oil producing company of Thailand)
SIM (Leepon's start making oils with collaboration to Korean company. But these oils are made in Malaysia presently).
Liqui Moly (Out class German oils, if original)
JB (am still searching on it).
Increase your study base knowledge & spread the awareness, instead of believing on words of the local mechanics or other people.
Start forgetting the old companies and start logically believing on the new companies, their qualities, durability and worth.
