2006 corolla 2.0d auto transmission

I would like someone's expert opinion.
I own a 2d saloon 2007, it's in stock condition, 100k on the clock, I'm desperately trying to get some expert opinion on whether it can be done. I went to a couple of mechanics, they had different views on this subject, one of them said it's a simple swap, the other said that the axles(goday) will be a problem. I'm quite confused. I know of a couple of guys who own the indus shape 2.0d and they are very happy with the transplant.

Any help will be appreciated.

For Manual to Auto you will also require ECM or TCM to control gear changing etc I heared that next generation E140 corolla came with Auto version of 2.od you can search that also for reference , rest wait for experts to join the discussion

I searched on internet and found Japanese Corolla had come with Diesel + Auto in this shape. It had 3CE diesel engine and U341E transmission. The transmission had its own control module. The frame number is CE121-AEPEE

yes for conversion from manual to auto you also need complete axle set as well. Altis 1.8 axle set can be coupled to U-341E.

Its shifter is connected through cable

You can convert it into Auto but with some genuine effort , you can source these parts from scrapyard , also consult with some good electrician for its wiring as I have suffered alot due to these chawal electricians

yes u can convert into auto, as Indus also laucnhed 2.0d with auo and SR in e140 variant.

The engine was same 2c, couple with 4AT having its own TCM.

so try to source it from srapyard, also the cluster with RPM till 6 as compared to gasoline version which has RPM till 8.
