Salam can we use 2 stroke engine oil in our 4 stroke Petrol/Gas Generator?

No. 2 stroke oil is normally SAE20 with less/different additives. 4 stroke engine oils require additional additives for longer engine life.

on gas it is recommended to change oil after 50 Hrs
due to excessive load shedding it took 5-6 days to reach 50 hrs.so oil cost will reach around 1k per month which is too much so any cheap oil (price wise not Quality wise) is recommended.

instead of buying cheap buy an Oil which can last 100~300 hours and it will be 100~200RS expensive and generator would be happy too.

I use kixx for 200hours and i usually buy a 5 liter Gallon (more money saving) ... as I have tested this oil lasts upto 2500km in CD70 in brutle abuse type usage so I have no worries if it slips to 225 hours in generator on gas as well..

the generator we have is 2.5KW Chinese OHV Type.

Oh yeah
There is a reason that it's my favourite. I have used Kixx for upto 2000km in my bikes, but wont dare to do the same with other oils.

on gas.. and I dont know exact price as Dad holds the cycle of genrator and house stuff.. but I thin it costs arounf 17~18 hundred and it is used in 7 oil changes.. 5000/700ml = 7.14~ times.. and it lasts long too..

dont go for "Sasta" mobil oil as it donot lasts for more hours and it will kill the generator and you will be left with no light in load shedding.

I don't remember properly but Yes its definatly a car Oil as its a TIN Can pack not Plastic bottle.. actually I never bothered about generator its under Dads Administrated area..

are you talking about the oil that is mixed with petrol or the oil that you pour in a 2 stroke motorcycle gearbox?

If your generator is air cooled so SHELL RIMULA (WHITE CAN) is best suited. Recommended by an experienced mechanic of generators.
