1986 corolla AWD conversion

I have toyota 86 corolla, ee80. just got back from body with primer from top to bottom.
the car is completed stripped no engine, as the car has been a family legacy car.
recently changed 4 doors, 2 fenders, trunk and front new suspension.
the rear suspension is untouched. the plan was to slap in the 7afe fwd,
bought the engine kabuli..
now im planning to go 3sgte awd. i know people would say its not worth it, but everyone has a different taste.
if anyone can provide me any info that would be wonderful.
mounting the engine and gear is no problem. would move the steering rack a bit up.
cut the tunnel for prop shaft and exhaust. so the rear diff is problem and the spindles.

No you can't. Reason it's worthless.
I'm a lover of ae80 and also other corolla's. Also own one.
I know the car body wise from back and forth. I also thought of conversation and much more but problem is its the weakest chassis if you compare with other models like ae90, ae101 or even with ke70. Though I don't want to say that but yes it is.
Control arms are joint to chassis there are no suspension cross members for control arms which means you have to modify the chassis for awd conversion worth less. You can make her go fast without awd conversation as i'm gonna do.
Don't take me easy in ae80 respects give a search on ae80 owner fans club.
But it's great to see that someone else thought like I do.

It's RWD you can swap anything. But if you want to keep its classicism swap the 7k engine.

how much 7k with at will cost to me btw if I need to get away from K series what options r open which can fit near to bolt on bolt

7k is not too old engine and famous for these chassis also it's easy to swap. I prefer that if it's going to be a family car.
Anyother series engine will not be bolt-on like 4ag series or 3s series.

yes i'm talking about 7k-e. And kabli engines usually came with auto tranny.
i don't like carburetor.

7k-e cost 75k complete. No idea but usually that treat older engine as scrap.

This car is with me from quite many years. Its hurts to say that it has a weak chassis. The first thing i did was to reinforce it. Used 18 guage sheet all around. Floor trunk under body firewall.
I dont let of the car. And fwd is too much understeer. Compensating the excess use of tyres ans braking is what i hate about fwd.

i had literally nut bolted 14 gauge plates with floor connecting to control arms.
welded a tie bar. and going to make bar for struts/fenders/cabin and underneath and still it's weak for me. i restored her one year a ago and denter didn't weld inside the fenders so right know i'm working on that area. every picture is posted in 1986 owner's fan club you can check.
Yes i agree but you really want AWD then get you hand's on ae95 or ce104 those are originally 4wd so half work is already done.

Will be waiting. The one big advantage of ae80 chassis is weight and also that's the reason why i'm still stick with this chassis.

Denter said he wont weld these 18guage sheets and 20 guage in bottom.
So i got them bend by a local sheet wala and placed them in directly. They seem like patches but it actually one piece from firewall till back sheet.
And 20 guage in bottom.
Between the sheets is a layer of coal tar.
It was pain in the arse to weld them. And i used mig weld for it

Mig welding is stronger then oxygen+acetylene welding.
Your car just need bars to decrease the body roll other wise it looks fine to me.

I have bars. They are with the painter.
I have zero body roll i had a 2c diesel in it.
