Hello everybody! The cars mentioned below are (in my opinion) Pakistan's most badmash cars. Anybody BIG would never be seen in anything else. I'm starting with no. 10 and going onto no. 1. Hope you enjoy!
- 2003- Toyota Corolla 2.0D Saloon:
This car is the choice of high earning government officials who will always be seen with a green license plate to confirm their authority. The colour of choice for most is white, as it is always signified as a government car's colour.
- 1994 Toyota Corona 2.0 GLi:
In the Pakistan Army, the Maj. Generals (Grade 21 officials) used to receive the Toyota Corona 2.0GLi. It's strong stance and smooth looks made the car very fitting for higher ranking army officials. The 2.0L DOHC engine gave it 140bhp which, at the time, could outrun most cars it was put up against. It continues till this day to preserve it's bad-boy image.
- 2002 Mercedes Benz S500 Guard:
In the entire world, there is not a single country which has not given it's most influential political leaders this car. Same goes for pakistan. Our incumbent leaders have been given this car- Musharraf has 3, the CJ has 2, all the Core Commanders have 2, and many diplomats also receive this car. It is completely bullet and bomb-proof from top to bottom; with bullet-proof glass, run-flats, etc. But due to the high price tag, mostly government officials are seen driving this car.
- 1996 Toyota Hilux:
This car was mainly used by heavy off-roaders that made frequent visits to mountaneous, hilly, and desert areas. The Hilux's later version (the vigo) is also popularly used by influential leaders as their escorts; normally seen with 6 armed security personnel. It's mean stance made it seem like a boulder around pebbles. I dubbed it the "high and mighty" since it stands tall.
- 1998 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado:
Being an SUV will always give a car the upper-edge in pakistan. Typically because of it's height and it's powerful diesel engine. The Prado has a 3.0L turbocharged diesel engine which is quite a lot considering it has the middle spot in Toyota's Land Cruiser line-up. A Prado also has the looks fit the part of a true badmash car. Plus, the diesel engine's noise makes it's presence known even at low speeds.
- 1988 Toyota Corolla:
Toyota produces the best; that is all i can say for this one.
2003 Toyota Land Cruiser:
Imported from dubai and the UK, this car is always preferred in pakistan. The looks, the sound, the size makes it THE best Toyota SUV out. Most MNA's, PML members, and other party members have this car. Long live gas-guzzling V8 engines!
2001 Honda Civic VTi:
Now this car is not here because of it's looks but more upon sheer power. If anybody was looking for a race on a saturday night, this would be the last car they'd want to be up against. The 1.6L VTEC engine would push 119 bhp . It's style made it the car of choice for young enthusiasts to modify. It was and still is very aggressive.
2003 Toyota Corolla XLi:
There's something about this car... dunno what but it's something that makes it very badmash-type...
1989 Mitsubishi Pajero
Oh yes.... no. 1! The engine was brutal, the look was fatal, the tires were deadly! The front chrome grille made bull-dogs look like pussies. You remember when you saw this the first time; jaws hitting the floor. Oh yes- this IS the ultimate gangsta car in pakistan.
