Usually the auto mode in AGS ruins the clutch plates, specially in stop and go traffic, and on speed bumps.
For some reason, when the vehicle is moving between 10kph-20kph, the computer tries to accelerate in 2nd gear without downshifting. When that happens, computer don't fully release the clutch. It accelerates with slipping clutch. That's the reason for clutch plate failures and this is common to complain both in Pakistan and India.
The solution for this is to drive AGS vehicle in manual mode, specially in slow moving traffic or in streets where speed breaker/bump are expected. You will never face clutch plate issue InshAllah.
Personally, I am using Alto AGS 2019 model, and it's used mostly for short trips where excessive gear shifting is required. I drive is it in manual mode all the time and so far I have not faced any issue with the transmission, Alhamdulillah.
In short, longevity depends on your driving behavior.
