Hi guysI have Nissan dayz 2015 model. Bought few months back. Working fine but since last 2-3 weeks I noticed that water level in radiator is low and despite refilling the coolant bottle. It becomes even after driving 2 to 3 km. I got it checked from a local mechanic and then I got its radiator serviced. he said that water bottle, radiator cap and even gas kit is fine but the problem remains as such. So what cn be the problem and if its gas kit where I can get its gas kit in pindi/isb and who is the best mechanic for this purpose as most are just doing business on trial and hit basis
Do you see any coolant on the ground when you park the car?
No. didnt see any coolant/water drop on the ground. level remains steady when car is parked
How much low does it goes?Whts ur total mileage??Does ur car heat up?.check the dropping coolant when the engine is running....then note exactly frm where its dripping, if it is..If still nothing check all the hose pipes.
The biggest problem in this concern with today's cars is they don't have a temperature guage just a stupid light to tell you that the engine is running hot...
Some questions?
water level can be seen at the end of radiator nossel but its not at the top as it should be. hardly after driving 2 to 3 km .... water level goes down.
1.on coolant 2. got svc of radiatoe3. fan is auto
Have you checked the radiator cap? Maybe it's not tightening properly and is letting some vapours escape?
You mean the level is about few centimetres below the radiator cap level only.I believe that's absolutely normal. @omersiddiqui5482
@sleeper bhai the thing is a gauge makes you monitor the engine temp constantly... a light doesnt. Bhai bleed the system properly first and then check for radiator cap.
when engine is running you open the radiator cap do you see coolant flowingkeep expansion bottle to level - HIGH only.never over fill expansion bottle ( reservoir bottle )
Yes...u r right about the gauge and light....i hate that also...Actually what concerning me here is that the reduced water level as per Arsalan is not normal....while actually its normal (my understanding)..... he says "water level can be seen at the end of radiator nossel but its not at the top as it should be"....isnt that normal??..the water isnt always full up till brim of the radiator is it?
Is the radiator cap genuine one? I encountered same problem with my alto PKDM. Turns out the radiator cap spring had loosened. Changed that with a kabli one but the problem persisted. Someone recommended cap with 1.1 bar written on top. I installed that and the problem was solved
Your issue was resolved or not? If yes then what was the problem?
