Hello there guys!
So I'm a normal Pakistani citizen like you guys and I wanted to talk about this issue for a long time.
As everybody knows there is a total tint ban in Pakistan for God know how much time but the Black Sun shades are allowed and there is no law prohibiting people from using Sun shades thus it's completely legal.
But if we focus on the fact that they both work as almost the same way, it's a really weird logic that tint is illegal regardless of the percentage of light it allows to pass through, though sun shades are allowed which are almost the same as a tint below 5%, as we can hardly see anyone through the shade. So that means that they are almost the same. For those who say that Shades are removable while tint cannot be removed (not like shades), removing a sun shade or rolling down a tinted glass is nearly the same. I know that tint is banned due to terrorism or some other illegal activities, but then are the criminals or terrorists unaware of the advent of sunshades? They can use that too, right? Though if a police officer has suspicion on someone he can simply ask him to roll down window so they can talk or see the person. In the case of sun shades the only different thing will be that first he will remove the sun shade then roll down the window. In both the cases the police officer will not be able to identify the person in the car with sun shades or tint.
Talking about another factor, sun shades are more dangerous than tint for the driver. As people who have used shades might know that it is hard to see traffic on sides when you have shades on especially in an intersection it is quite hard to see incoming traffic. Though in tints there is no such problem, the surroundings are clearly visible with a tint its just like wearing sun glasses.
Another thing is that now days as everyone knows there is an invasion of Japanese cars all over the world, including Pakistan. These Japanese cars come with factory fitted rear and back seat side windows tinted to around 50% maybe. Where is the law in this situation?
Another thing is that making laws like there are further increasing crime rates in Pakistan as they are not practiced strictly.
At last, everyone has a right of privacy and people nowadays are more conscious about their and their families privacy which sun shades and tint provide them in cars. But putting a total ban on tint while allowing sun shades is stupidity.
In my opinion TINTS should be allowed though some rules can be set to regulate them.
EVERYONE HAS A RIGHT TO PRIVACY!
