Aoa guys, I’m looking at 2012-2014 XV50 Camrys which majority were imported in hybrid. The sizing and fuel economy has attracted me the most as it’s comparable to a Corolla grande or hopefully even better.
Since I’ve never owned an hybrid, what are the thorough things I need to check specific for an hybrid? Is it even worth spending for an hybrid as from what I’ve heard is all of your fuel savings goes into ABS and battery components?
I do have access of Techstream (Toyota’s diagnostic tool) and mainly used for my non-hybrid vehicle. I would prefer to take it to an expert if there are any in Karachi to which I currently don’t know any otherwise, I can tackle some things using forums, service manuals and YouTube (my favorite until I have to work on).
Last but not least since this is JDM vehicle so I hope parts won’t be an issue compared to the older Australian models.
It would be daily driven 4-5 kms at lowers speeds like 50. On some weekends it would be having 80km round trip consisting highway and city.
Would love to have your remarks..
