Speaking from personal experience, I prefer Alsvin over Yaris (1.3) and City.
Have quite a bit of experience with all of them since we own all three in the house, so I drive each one once a week at least (none of them are mine so they aren't my daily driver).
Yaris definitely has the Toyota reliability but also has the Toyota curse of underperforming so I don't enjoy driving that at all. Granted, the Yaris is 1.3 ATIV CVT but that's the closest comparison in terms of price and that was the primary factor in terms of buying decision at the time.
We (as in younger brother) bought the Yaris first as we didn't want to risk it with a Chinese brand despite liking Alsvin. But it's performance felt lacking in comparison to the previous gen City 1.3 Aspire we also had. In fact, from a dead start, it would always get beat by a 2021 Alto we had at the time (not a fair comparison since Alton was manual).
So we (another brother) ended up buying an Alsvin 1.5 as well a couple of months later and it has been pretty fun to drive. I'm sure the 1.5 Yaris would perform just as good but it also costs nearly PKR 1.2 million more right now, which isn't a worthwhile tradeoff.
An year later, wife was looking to switch her car so considered the new GM6 City 1.2 CVT but it was an immediate no because of how underpowered it felt and she didn't want an older generation so it was down to another Yaris or Alsvin. After trying out both for a couple of weeks, she also went with Alsvin 1.5. To be fair, she never tried Yaris 1.5 either but it wouldn't have swayed her much because of the price difference.
So we ended up getting another Alsvin 1.5 Lumiere but this time, a used 9.9 rated 2021 model. She's driven it nearly 10,000 km in a few months (total mileage approaching 50k) and is quite happy so far. The only issue we faced so far is one headlight bulb randomly died one day but we had spares laying around the house as my brother had swapped his projectors for 120W LED headlamps so I just replaced her dead bulb with a spare original.
My brother did have to get his brake pads changed on his 2022 model after only 16,000 km milage because they had started giving out but other than that he takes good care of the engine and the DCT transmission so hasn't had an issue so far. Some materials quality (particularly the seat covers) could be better but Yaris isn't that great either in that regard.
