in all honesty i was offered a rover V8 with an auto box recently (running) and i was tempted to do it but i decided that it'd be VERY suilly since at the moment the level of skill available in this country isn't that good and the parts needed for the conversion woudln't be available or well built in PK as safety isn't a big thing in PK,.. over here it's all about resale.

yup, had i bought the other project car i wanted i woudl have already fit the V8, but sadly i'm in no mood to ruin a VW.

maybe if and when i do the next project i'll fit a V8 if i can find one (with a gearbox)

you'd think it's easy to do but it's NOT. for starters you'd have to build a "cage" for the engine out of steel tubes which woudl have to be welded perfectly to a re-enforced chassis and then you'd have to do something aboutthe drivetrain.

in all honesty it's WAY too large a project for anyone working the way they do in pk,.. however there IS the tallent here but getting them all to function correctly and do what is asked is another thing all together.

BTW it's easier to just fit a V8 to the rear....

Thats is not really an option in Pakistan. Hardly any STi's. Hence will have to get one from abroad which would be a bitch and pricey. Unless you have my STi in mind..
V8 still you can get locally.
