brother empty the petrol tank and then use high octane for 10 litre ur car will 100% improve japanes car very high compression engine and also clean ur fuel injector with ultrasonic machine and keep air filter claean also.

Replace the car dontnow whts up wth these fresh import cars.Own 1 aswell and its giving 6 7kms max yet got it checked frm many places.replaced gear oil plugs fuel etc throtle serviced twice thrice still the same

I own a Vitz 2006 myself..... I was getting 8Km/L.... no fault in computer. Don`t waste ur time changing oil filter etc
First and foremost thing to do is remove CAT Converter Immediately
Car will start giving Noise........ install a bigger Muffler (Dholki) and exhaust will become noise free
I did it and my Mileage is 15km/L........... I think the simple and best thing for 2005 Onward models of Vitz
If ur mileage is still the same then go for spark plugs and tires change

anyone who says their mileage is above 13 in city is full of BS....
they dont know how to calculate mileage properly.....or the fuel quality is total **** in pakistan

I have done lots of experiment, with several cars....
My dads xli 1330cc 2nz-fe (just 16k mileage) gives 11.7 mileage, and he drives from defence, clifton which have less traffic..

i bought vitz u pac first week of jan. it carries 185 15 inches of stock rims unlike the ordinarey one. initially what i calculated it gave me to be precise 12.5 km/l in city and that was without aircon but with sensible low acceleration pedal within 2000rmp.:$the next thing i did is filled the empty tank with 1000rs of hi octane patrol. used it with full pedal for a while and consume it all until the tank indicated the blinking indication of tank fuel at end. again refiled it with 1000 rs premier grade patrol@103.3 per/liter that gave me about 9.68 litre of fuel. tripped the meter to zero and again with low rpm maintenance without giving unnecessary pedal it gave me 154 km before it started blinking fuel gauge. what i calculated it gave me 15.90kkm/l in city without a/c. and that pretty good i believe try it it will make a difference, what i observe red.

bro buy petrol from caltex, than pso
pso gave me max 9.86, and from pso company operated pump!!!

and caltex gave me 12km/l

Well i wanted to check how much i could manage on a full tank with avg speed between 75-85km/h & soft acceleration SO
i got about 18km/l with some ac usage, driving done mostly on highway

Let me know what is your fuel average ? And do tell me how do you calculate it ? What is the Hi Octane/ Supreme ratio ? Tire Size as well (What if the tire is not stock profile)

My car is giving in my 10-11 Km/L in Islamabad city without AC. and all i drove was from Sector G6 to Airport in night after 12 am when whole Islamabad is sleeping. With very light foot. not more than 100 km/h speed. Besides my car has an extra ECO function. The car goes on battery when you stop on signal or somewhere, and starts without effecting the lights, music system

My tire size is 185/70/14. Which is wider than the orignal size of Vitz 20 mm.

Denso Spark Plugs. Silver tip.
Air filter is clean.
CAT removed.
Checked the computer, all sensor codes are fine.
Throttle cleaned.

Gear Oil i did not changed, because its fine according to the mechnicmy car geniune meter was 60,000 km when it came from Japan.

So kindly assist me. Specially if someone is from Islamabad !

Some Vitz users are saying it should give atleast 13 km/L WITH AC in city like islamabad. While some says the new Vitz will just give 11km/L.

I dont know what to do When everyone is giving me inaccurate readings on mileage issue.

Few days back i bought an unregistered toyota vitz 2008 1000cc. I can swear it is not giving me more than 8.9km/l economy. Firstly i thought it was because i kept the air conditioner on all the time but then i tried without the ac and still the same result and i dont drive aggressively at all, seriously i just cruise at 40km\h max in the city with no sudden accelerations and the rpm below 2000. I had the air filter checked it was clean and did not need replacement, i changed the oil, got the car tuned up but no change. I also own a Honda City 2011 mannual i-vtec and that 1300cc car with much more power than the vitz gives me averagely 13-15km\l in city and 23km\l long. I am planning to visit toyota showroom in Islamabad tomorrow and if i get any improvement i will post but till today my vitz is giving less than 9km\l although, theoretically with only 1000cc and continuous variable transmission(CVT) this car is supposed to give more than 15km\l.
Plus the car is in stock condition, i haven't installed bigger tyres or any other performance upgrade that might ruin fuel economy. Any one who knows a solution to this problem is very welcome to share their thoughts.

I own one, and there is no need to replace air filter again n again. Just do it once and install genuine air filter from Toyota motors. Another best thing that would help u achieve best economy is get the sensors cleaned. replace gear oil with original genuine toyota cvt oil. By doing do my car gives 15-16 Km/L in city and 21-23 Km/L on highways. Try it.

my vitz 1.0 2011 gave me 7km/l on drive from isb-->khi. what to do to improve mileage? Will removing cat+spark plug+throttle work that much to give 8 more km/l?

Brothers, I owned a vitz 2006, Import in 2012 Start. It gives me 14 km per liter Alhamdulillah in Lahore City near Kalma Chowk Heavy traffics. In CVT Transmission, one should use soft foot on acceleration, and should maintain RPM around 1000 to 2000. Use only Total PARCO Fuels, and Use Good Engine oil thats 5w-30w. I use Mobil 1 plus from Makki Oil Store. Air filter should be changed after 3 to 5 thousand kms depends upon area of driving (in clean areas 5k kms, in dusty areas 3k kms).
