Toyota Rush worth buying?

oil and air filters are easily available even in open market but be sure to get from a reputed shop...i got oil filter for 550Rs in karachi...got some rear suspension bushes changed and they were easily available in market

only thing you have to be cautious off is to protect headlights and taillights and side mirrors as they can be a PITA to search in market and toyota does not have these..if they have its like 45000Rs for one mirror

coming to paint quality, i would say that its awesome...just a shampoo wash with megs ultimate and it shines like a mirror..mine is black metallic colour....check my post on detailing thread

thanks for the reply, i did check all the lights and fortunately there wasnt any hazing etc and the owner had already replaced a rear light due to a crack recently so that was new as well and fitted fine.thats quite expensive for mirror but its understandable. thankfully this car still has the original mirror and they fold fine as well.

yep i saw your posts, this one is silver so probably wouldn't get to that level as your black pearl but it'll be fun to detail.

I'd recommend that u buy a new fresh import, would be a peace of mind..

well a fresh import would cost me 22 lac after registration so for 4 lac less wouldn't this be a better option? and its only 6 month used in pakistan. i could sort out any problems for less than that. it didn't seem to be painted or genyan from what i could tell though i am no expert. all the jap stickers we're there the manfuacturing on the seat belts match and form looking at the airbags deployed thread i dont think there was anything to suggest on steering or dashboard that the airbags had be deployed.

oh and just to be sure the owner had a gieger counter so i made him go over the car in front of me checking for radiation and there wasnt any, so thats a relief.

The problems you have mentioned with the car plus no auction sheet availability will be raising all sorts of doubts in my mind and to top it up it sounds like a "rushed off your feet" decision with the seller going abroad.
I know it's not an off-roader but the shocks to be shot off at that mileage it just does not all add up to me.
Any way choose wisely and dnt be rushed off your feet with the seller going abroad there's plenty more cars available out there.
It's the same car as a terrios and no comparison to rav4 it's definitley smaller then that.
Good luck with the buy though.

and thats the major worry that if the rear shocks are shot a this time then the rest of the suspension might be worn as well at the very least rear springs could need replacing too so thats potentially can be quite some work.

Sorry to ask a question bit off topic but whats the difference between rush and terios ?
Because terios are a little cheaper than rush

Rush is a jap import car and 5 seater. Terious is sold by indus imported from malaysia and is a long wheelbase 7 seater. Theres also the daihatsu Bego which is same as rush.

additionally there was a 5 seater terious with 1300cc from 1999-2004 or it was better known as cami.

and lastly there is Terious kid as well in 660cc form.

@muradi you were right, you can add this to your genyian list of cars, just shows how well they hide these defects when they repair. the interior grade is E and yet the interior of the car was spotless and no bad smells so it must be its been thoroughly changed and cleaned possibly the airbags could have deployed as well and the crash explains the suspension problems as well.

will not be buying this car, its too high of a price for this condition anyway.

i did tell him. he's a british chap called David chambers ales worth and is quite famous and has his own wikipedia page as well. he was leaving pakistan and was a incredible hurry to get rid of the car. i emailed him the auction sheet an pictures and i was inundated with phone calls form him:P

he had bought this car form a dealer whoose registered city was Dir. nevertheless to say he was quite disappointed and i dont think he would leave with happy memories from here:P

Yikes, Thats a case of Genyan Jdm :P, Although the repair work is pretty flawless, The Airbags aren't deployed, looks like the car is a victim of the Tsunami that hit japan, Thank God u r saved..
btw i would suggest u to raise your budget and get Vezel. Its a monster and million times better than Rush

yep no more rush but the repair is so flawless to the untrained eye that i dont really want a jdm anymore. maybe after few months will increase budget and get a vigo, that will truly fulfil my requirement of high driving position.
