Your engine is late generation 4efe having Ignition coils. In toyota auto and manual pinouts are similar. Just the difference is extra wires for auto.Yes there about 3 gens of 4efe all have about similar pinouts depending upon no. Of pins
many thanks for the reply. another question. i have in total 3 wires going to the ecu from the coils (excluding the 2no. +12v and 2no. ground wires). On each coil there is a solid yellow wire going to the ecu, as per the ecu diagram both wires terminate to pin 8 which says "G2 distributor). I measured each of those wires with the ignition ON and they carry +5V to the coils. The other two wires next to the yellow wires are +0V and one terminates to ecu pin no. 6 IGt and the other to pin no. 19 IDL as per the diagram you have sent. Could you please tell me which wires are IGT and which IGF? is there only one IGT pin for both coils? Thanks for your reply!
never mention.open the ecu back cover. Complete pinouts were written on the circuit board in these ecu's. On internet i never got my hand's on ignition coils generation pinouts of 4efe
ok thanks
hi bro; I have question. in corolla ee100 or ee90 there is a switch neer the a/c vsv that idle up for head light or ... seem to els for efi. i find it's wire and used it for els in my project(Swap 4afe on corolla ee100). but when i switch lights up this wire has no voltage. What u think. Do you think i am in right way?
No.VSV is a switch. Which leaks the vacuum when gets 12 voltages.Just gives 12 voltages to vsv and rpm increases. Because it starts leaking vacuum from intake manifold. While ELS is electronic load signal for ecu.Which needs voltages to operate.
thank you ,plz look this picture. It use in ee100, near The front glass washer motorTher is two vsv, one for a/c and another for headligh idle up in carbiLike els in efiWhat do you think?
The white one connector link to ac amplifier, another i don't know,I swap 4afe and look up for best source for els.
You're welcome. You can still manual use thi vsv. I had connected one with head lights in 5af converted to Efi. I'm not too much in AC stuff but there's seperate pins for A/C amplifier in ecu you can try them.
thanks, swap 4afe on my ee100, i create her topic soon,no problem with AC, I want circuit els like factory. In fsm els branches from taillight relay.Your diagram in previous post is great. But i want to know best place for connecting wire for elsI think the wire connect to black vsv in pictures in previous post is best. Do you have picture from your circuit in your car for els
Circuit is same. Picture i posted explain the working of els which is same in every ecu.Diode shows current will pass in one direction from lights to ecu ELS pinout. Try giving positive signal to els pin. Actually ecu maintain rpm by IAC.
So thanks baradar,i serch, the withe one for AC idle up, and another for Defog back window, Tail Lighti find wire color, and diagram,i disassemble 2e engine wire harness and trace everey wire
Another questionI finished swapingnow i want to fix ecu ho mount ecu to bodyi dont have ecu bracket and dont know how do iti like do it as same as companyThanks for your reply
Great.Original ECU is mounted inside the dashboard in these car. There are holes for screw in ecu you can make a bracket and mount it in the dashboard. Place where you find each to reach. As I removed every AC box from my car so i had mounted ecu on the firewall.
hi bradar, thanks, in orginal ecu mount under the heater boxDo you know part number for the map sensor for 4afe engin /ecu 12800?all 4afe have one type of map sensor?how test map sensor?
You're welcome Yes it is mounted there.Sorry don't have part number. And yes It's different depending upon the generation of engine. You need a vacuum apparatus. So you can give vacuum even when engine is off. Then you can check the resistance (ohm).
@Hassan1991 hey bro just wanted to say that the vehicle is running great ! and im damn happy about the performance ! changed oil twice and cleaned the injectors ! rewired few lines ! and all good now !
and im just curios on developing an arduino error code reader ! i may not know if anyone tried ! but don't we have a CAN lines on this models ECU
ive found this site and i see K and L CAN lines on the diagnostic socket !
http://pinoutguide.com/CarElectronics/Toyota_old_diagnostic_pinout.shtml
ur ideas on this would be valuable
Glad to know. No, these are very basic ecu's no can bus in old generations ecu's yes you can make a device. different voltages gives you different error codes, you just have to make a program that take input in voltages and tells which specific error it is, or you can make a counter which reads how many times check light blinks and give you error code
Hi I swapped my 2e to 4efe and the 4efe wiring doesn't fit with the dashboard of 2e.. any help?? Can I fit the 4efe outside with the 2e wiring inside???
there's only few wires need to be connected to dashboard. like Vss, Rpm, A/C clutch, check light and els.
So I have to put 4efe wiring on my dashboard?
