I believe you should first sort out the entire undercarriage of the car with NEW parts then go for cosmetics. As I said its a cressida so parts should be easy

as said by Xulfiqar bhai... the under carriage need the most attention as there is rust ... but not much

got the things sorted out
changed the break linings as they were rusted and rear breaks were not working
got the missing issue solved changed plugs
changed the top and lower water flundge they were rusted too

now going for suspension work hope it will be sorted out easily...

Points to note.

use silicone grease on the rubber bushings only
if your ball joints are the grease nipple type then also get a tube of mobil xhp grease to pump them
regrease the front wheel bearings correctly with the same grease (use hand scrape method or little plastic bag method which is to put two golf ball sized globs of grease in the bag, dunk both bearings in the bag - work the bag so grease gets into the rollers and then install the bearings and squeeze the grease from the bag into the hub)
only tighten the control arm bolts with the wheel at driving level (use jack to raise it off the jackstand) otherwise you will be replacing the same items next month.

I love those rims, just beautiful,
Have been searching for something like that or period correct original Toyota alloys for my 77 Corona Mark2 but haven't found anything remotely close.

im searching atleast 3 inch deep dish or something similar

got the suspension updated
changed almost all the things as every thing was easily available

changed tie rods, rack ends all the bushes all things Japan
dismantled all the parts cleaned them with steel brush for rust then painted them before putting back

only shocks were repaire as u can easily get the kit to repair them

now the ride is much better as all the rubber bushes were in powder form

can u plz tell me a thing the block of first gen 1g and later 1g-fe have same block, if yes can we swap the head between these two

this engine feels underpower but then again engine change is my last option maybe 1jz or 1uz

Its still in looks as per its age, did you get it restored or just bought in such condition besides the suspension and other work?

no you cannot, the entire lower end is a bit different. I would suggest to use it as it is. A good tune up (AFM would be conked out) will restore driveability.
