these pics are 30 min old you can watch the clouds in picture and in the ups pis you can also watch a changover switch
i switched to wapda coz there were no charging when clouds appear in normal days my ups works on solar power all the day

New policy will not apply to old netmetering connections until the contract expires. It's applicable on new ones only

I am not sure if this is the right place, but hoping to get some answers...
I recently purchased a tall tubular (phoenix) 185ah lead acid battery.. and connected to an old 660w UPS (Homage matrix 1001). After using battery to power my fans (at night) it takes about 9‐10 (sometimes more) hrs to charge completely… with charging current never going over 13.6 — 13.7 v. And when it stops charging the battery is at 13.7 v.
I opened up the dippers(water level indicators) and noticed they were turning black? What could be the problem..! Is it overcharging???

I am considering buying 12v 20amp charger, would that help. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Your homeage UPS charging is malfunctioning.
The battery electrolyte specific gravity needs to be checked.

Please remember UPS (is not an inverter with MPPT charging) and the charge current needs to be calibrated manually according to larger battery (ah) . please check you UPS manual and locate what is maximum battery AH it can handle for charge discharge at load. sir @pwuser165106410938

summer is at doorstep, it is high time all solar electric users, shall check upon panel washing / cleaning schedule, stability of circuit breakers and the Liquid battery Specific gravity strength.

specially the net-metering users shall check the physical condition of their DC PV & AC breakers, any sign of corrosion over terminal be cleaned with care. The ground (earth pit) shall be fed with water regularly.

In case you folks aren't aware, LifePo4 batteries keep getting cheaper and cheaper.

Solax has launched a new LFP battery (5.12kwh) in Pak with >6000 cycles and price is varying between 190k to 200k. Assembled in Pak and has local support.

OR they have to massively drop their prices.

Chance to keep making your way towards offgrid or have least reliance on DISCOs/WAPDA.

Decent brand from China, has presence in Australia and the UK already (they sell mostly high voltage systems there). In Pak they were previously selling their China-supplied LD53 batteries IP65, comparable in prices to Pylontech.

This is a new model from their factory in Pakistan so it’s significantly cheaper. Being distributed by Fronus locally.
