These shims are available in different size according to required thickness to adjust the valve clearance to manual specs.

There is no part no. mentioned in workshop manual.
Mandviiwalla simply said its not a running item and hencenot available even with Pak Suzuki.

That's a problem with Suzuki Dealerships. They don't carry shims. They take the shims off, measure them, then mark them with masking tapes to Kharadiya for grinding.

AoA pakwheelers i just bought a suzuki swift 2016 manual its 55k driven previous owner used Zic X7 5w20 should i continue driving on that (No problems on 5w20) Owner manual states 0w20 and 5w30 so confused please help
2nd i need tyre recommendation currently its on dunlop 195/60/R15 as manufacturing date is 2018 i want to change them as soon as possible P.S i live where roads are rough cracked jump khada etc

yes you can use 20 oil, another swift guy is also using sgo 0w20, no issues so far, it's recommended by suzuki so no problem

personally I will prefer 0w20

i think swift has manual tappet adjustment which should be done from time to time (as per mentioned interval in the manual).

You just need to get the exact values of clearance and a good mechanic can do it for you.

if you are in Isb, i can recommend Zahid sb 03335112238 in I10 Workshop market for this.

i think using 5w-30 will be more suitable. opt for any fully synthetic 5w-30 oil. personally i would suggest kixx, its cost comparatively reasonable and a very good oil.

my Swift's engine was vibrating, i showed it to 2 mechanics, both said "tappet adjust karnay parain gay"
took it to one of them, and he even did adjust tappets (as per his claims), but nothing happened.. the engine is still vibrating : (

No tappets..no need to adjust. Just chill and drive. Yes spark plugs needs to be replaced after 25,000 kms

It does gets loose and in that case shims need to be changed and grind to certain length.

For vibration you need check the Plugs, Coils, injectors and Throttle body, one of them must be faulty.

plugs, coils, throttle body, all were checked, all were okay.. i think except the injectors ...
but if the injectors are faulty and supply uneven amount of fuel .. shouldn't the car also perform bad when running on speeds..
the engine only vibrates (like an old 3 cylinder engine) when the car is idle, but no problem in running : (

Anyone know where in Rawalpindi (preferably around DHA and Bahria Town) can I get genuine oil filter and air filter for my swift? I'm trying to avoid buying them from the 3S since they charge an arm and a leg.

Oil filter original one is slightly bigger than guard one and it can be easily distinguished but air filter is too difficult to recognize as there is an Indonesian Suzuki made also available which I think is very good and can be purchased for 1000 as I remember but there is another copy which is available in very similar packing but its actual cost is around 300 but since it’s packing is just like Indonesian one so cant be easily distinguished unless u keep both side by side. As I remember the original one is heavy both in weight and its paper also appears to be heavy. See this is original one available at 3s​

What are the tyre prices nowadays in Karachi & should i continue with same previous size 185/65R15 or some other compatible decent size (Prime focus is not being economical but safety & good road grip)
