yaar Bimmers are now very common on roads especially on roads of Lahore (don't know abt others).
So its not that exciting... LOL
Anyhow good work.
Be in hunt of cars whose dealership is not here.

bmw's are very common indeed, but hte black one in the first pic is a NEW 750, so it seems the guy has finally paved the path and NOT bought a 2nd hand peice of garbage,.... i mean BMW.

I guess he did the best thing not going for the new S-Crap. Interio being the big time copy of new BMW 750li has lost its elegance which was the hallmark in previous models.

No offence taken bro. Sadly i have to agree with you on this one, the S has coppied BMWs interior 100%,... I think the A or S8 is still an individuals car though.

by the way choosing a car from brands like Merc, Bimmer and Audi depends mostly on personal prefernces and likings.
These brands have established their brand-class in minds of ppl. So brand loyalty plays more rather than quality and performance.
By the way i got news from net from a Merc engineer who joined Porsche team lately.
He said that he was asked to develop the technology of navigator projection on windscreen before Lexus and Caddy as both were working on that.
That technology was developed earlier than Lexus and installed in Merc but failed coz it wasn't tested. Merc is loosing its quality. E-class of present age can't be compared with its predecessors.
What do you say?

simple answer,... modern mercs (and BM's) are NOTHING like the stuff being build in the 80's & early 90's. Personally i think an accord is built better than a 3 series or a c-class. the last ML was a joke,... i could go on all day!

But a guy driving 3 Series and C-Class thinks himself one up to the guy driving Accord. Honda can't be compared with BMW and Merc when it comes to Brand-Status.
I've yet to hear that BMW is loosing quality too. You got any thing to tell me in this regard? I'm looking forward to that.

bmw's quality standards are slightly lower now than back in the 80's-90's but not as dramatic a fall as MB/DC. i'm using a friend as a benchmark who's always had either a 5 pr a 7 series in his house (his family is BMW mad) and comparing it to my own mercs.

if MB/DC don't pull their finger out soon they WILL go under.

Well, in the first place modern era Bimmers r not marketed as a reliable car they are rather marketed as ultimate drivin machines, so its better not to expect reliability in the first place. New bimmers suck in terms of design, older bmw's specially E-36,E-40,E-46, gotta benchmark design in sedans. As far as mercedes is concerned grandfather is a die-hard mercedes fan got almost every model since 65', so quite familiar with it. Ther quality went to ther knees in last 3-4 yrs. The new C Class sucks big time, really really pathetic, Airbags ain't deploy in a crash, lotta cabin noise, nd other glitches here nd ther. Ther earlier C-180 was quite gudd, 280 SEL was way too much gudd, 280 SEC Coupe was hell lotta tough, 70's 200D's engine was probably made in NASA lab still running strong after 400k miles. I wonder how, but newer models lack tht oomph factor. Apart, frm tht both bimmers nd MB's got very pathetic styling, they r quite inspired by Japs interms of styling, tht old sedan touch is missing rather they r making it more cosmetic instead of givin it an elegent touch.

As far as the Styles are concerned then its just the matter of who likes what...thats it. you might like new S-Class and i mite not. you might hate new 7s and i mite luv that.
So style is just a matter that whose eyes stuck at what.
People do luv Porsche...whatelse left...

I've personally got a 1998 E280 (W210 model with the M112 V6) spec is 197 bhp, and a 0-60 in about 8.1 seconds with the auto 5 speed. I also HAD an E320 in the UK which was the same year and had the same M112 engine (though 3.2l) which clocked 0-60 in 6.8 (but it was slightly tuned from affalterbach).

The equivelant BMWs are faster & produce more power...

Seen a lot of Bimmers in Khi too..
Went to pak dewan wid ma mamoo n actually drove a 7 series...
i ppl have no idea wat pleasure it is to drive a 7 series... its just awesome.. but a hell lot complicated too.

BMW designs age well so do the Mercedes ones. The recent designs by BMW seemed quite radical, but they age well. Case in point, the new 5. After three years into production, it looks as agressive and sporty as any other BMW. Mercedes used to be the design leader, but that may not be true any longer. The new S-class however, is beautiful. The interior looks much nicer in person, than it does in pictures.

By the way..that new 550i , in sport package..just begs to be driven.
