Everyone seems to be dancing to the Haval tune. The wait time for the H6 HEV is now 3-4 months, from 2 to 3 months. The rest of CKDs are the same. . Cant be due to the demand for Jolion HEV since that should've affected all H6 models since they all share one assembly line AFAIK.
A colleague has a tiggo 4 pro and he cant get it to sell for a significant loss.
This is both good and bad; good as it is giving the big "2" a trashing, a taste of their own medicine and bad since it may end creating another monster like Toyota and Honda. It remains to be seen how long sazgar can maintain momentum; they have a product that is selling itself now, like the corolla once did. Can they keep up or will they become their own worst enemy. Time will tell.
Unless the other new (Chinese) entrants up their games in terms of product offerings, I dont see all of them surviving, unless they cut their margins even more. Proton is all but dead (which should've been the strongest considering Geely's heritage as having a major stake in Mercedes (~10%), Aston-Martin (~20%), Volvo (~7%); the blame falls on Al-haj squarely. It is surprising that Geely has done little to nothing to protect its IP in Pakistan (which speaks volumes about how Pakistan's image is reflected in Geely's bottom line; equating to nothing). DFSK is on the vent. Ghandara is trying its best to get onto vent. It offers a total of 2 options of which neither seems to be selling. This leaves MH and master motors. MG-JV has cash to burn and will likely survive in one form or another. Master Motors has a lot of "cushion" (get it
). But how long can it keep up in the high stake high margin market without coming out with a strong competitor remains to be seen. I don't see electric offerings as a reasonable offense; since i do not think anyone can seriously think of travelling long distances in an EV esp in a country where both electricity and the roads can get blocked at any time.
My really long 2 cents.
