Nissan MAF engine throwing black smoke while running on petrol

Like I said before, the CNG installation may be to blame for these troubles.

The culprit was the MAF sensor.but had to change the whole butterfly(throttle body) coz the MAF sensor of ths engine is permanently fixed in the throttle body. But m happy that the issue has been resoved.

ga engine are very reliable and ecnomical on fuel also
after looking in the pic i can see the gap of butter fly which is not right one more thing the sensor on this throtle body is adjusted through magnetic solonide inside the throtle body which normally get cloged if engine lying for long time or not in use
u can take it out and wash it with carbon cleaner it will work fine u will feel a lot of difference in pick and performance
normally mechanics just wash the whole throtel body but it is way insidee to reach and if it is not washed propery u wont get the desire result

Bro i have the same problem with my ga15de recently installed cng and its giving black smoke now before installing CNG it was fine what can be the problem i have driven only 400km on cng

did u installed a ventury system on ur mass air flow? or throtle body?

Salaam everyone ... I just swapped a ga13de.. I also had the same problem. I haven't installed CNG yet. Fixed the black smoke problem bt replacing the throttle body. After 2 weeks another problem appeared . Car misfires when accelerated, fuel economy also dropped from 18 KPL to 10KPL .... car only goes to high rpm in neutral. While driving it doesn't crosses 3K and starts misfiring.Got everything checked and electrician adjusted a bolt with an L-key at the rear side of the throttle body. Now missing is slightly reduced but so is the economy.Have driven approx. 300Km on petrol.

Only saw a difference in drive when i added High Octane... now its driving much better ( i heared that octane cleans injectors and stuff )..... any bright ideas how to troubleshoot it ...

how about checking the engine codes with hot-wiring the data connection wire from the ECU. Do you have your check engine light on ?

I don't think the "check engine light" is connected.. and i don't know how to hot wire the data connection wire for ECU or how to read codes.. can somone please guide me how to do so... will be very helpful ..
