american cars are built on one principle
BE CHEAP TO PRODUCE.
e.g. a Chevrolet Tahoe interior is nice to look at, with some wood trim etc. But if you touch it once you will think they recycled shopping bags and melamine plates to make it. Its SO BAD. IMO, If I see wood I would like it to feel like wood. If I see leatherite imitation at least make it a bit supple. Not printed hard plastic.
OR lets take its doors, they passed the wires through them and then crimped connectors on, WTF man.... that means to repair the wiring one has to cut it. Or lets take the fuse box in an impala etc platform - they made one design of it and used multiple boxes depending on the trim level. This creates a problem of powering it up. So they connected them side by side with thick bus bars (dimaagh se faarigh design) - on top of those bus bars is a chassis brace (short hazard in a crash) so they used some plastic pipe to insulate the brace (ghetto engineering repaired by jugaarbazi) - THIS IS ORIGINAL.
try replacing the battery in a 90s chrysler forward cab body, some of them require removal of the bumper to take out the battery.. makes you laugh. You will also be amazed to know that the corvette uses "kamani" suspension for the rear. NICE ISNT IT..
American cars are good to look at but are horrendous to work on,
