I am also looking for a rotary, meri rotary se koi larai nai h. If i find in a good shape. I ll keep it. Till it blows. BUT. It will not fullfil my requirement to a 300 to 400hp machine. I will have to go for a 2jz with mods.

Sameer thankyou for connecting me to omar. I discussed with him n he said that LS1 and 1uzfe or 3uzfe will be very expensive and there mods will specially b very expensive. He sent me a video of an rx8 recording 773bhp. Yes. 773bhp. So 400 is very achievable he said with 2jz. With mods i mean.

Guys please comment on the above statement.

And for the people who are saying that 2jz rx8s dont travel in a straight line. Please recomment a similar enjine. If weight is an issue. A similar enjine should resolve the issue. Aluminum block.

The main point if this thread is recommending a swap. Not recommending a rotary.

Rotary is super unreliable. Most unreliable enjine on earth in my view. If i have to stop on road, then it should be for a 400hp modified car, not a stock rotary. Khuar wo b karwaye ga, mods b karwayen gy. I know that. Thats the price u have to pay when u are making a 400hp car in a budget of 1.5 to 2mil pkr.
This is unfortunate that in pakistan one cant buy an S500 2005 of a 750li 2005 for $3000.(like we can in usa and in dubai) WE HAVE LIMITED OPTIONS.

By the way i have thought of buying a 2005 530i in like 2.2 to 2.7mil range. But i think even that is now not reliable. Then why not buy an rx8 and stuff it with this stuff. And i did not find a good 530i. 540 and 545i t bht door ki bat h. Its all 520i and 520d 530d. (In 2.5mil)
2.5mil ma aur kuch t milta hi nai. I just need decent power. ( with decent i mean 300hp or plus)745li ka b kafi socha. But its old. Unreliable. I finallised rx8, and a swap.

U should by now understand my requirement.

hahaha. NO performance engine is reliable. specially if we talk about project cars. and stop looking at those dyno videos. those are the same people who says dyno's are not so important. you can map a car to show more whp on dyno. but what matters in real world is usable power not the top end. don't disrespect rotary if don't know for what purpose they were manufactured.

I have taken time from 2 people. And i am going tomorrow to see 2 cars, one is a new rotary (old one died as usual) one is 2jz (old one died as usual)
Its hard for me to leave my business and 9 employees and go out, but i have taken time out tomorrow, and m going. I ll update you guys about both tomorrow.
Baqi 350z ka koi scene nai, koi hai b nai achi available aj kal. And 530i and 745li kabi kabi nazar ati h. But not in good condition. All good stuff i see is in islamabad. And i am in lahore.
I am flexible. You may recommend me other cars. Cl9 stock is lathargic, driven 3. May b i can do mods in them. Another guy was saying me today that get a 96 67 civic, n k24, n mods, same stuff. But i personally thing rx8 is best for mods. Thats is why i am inclined towards it.

If you are in love with 2jzgte powered dyno queen magazine tuner cars with aem and injen stickers etc, spend monies and buy a supra, it will also be beaten to shit from previous drag race owners of Pakistan who want to measure their manhood at illegal races on road corners.

If you think you can dally drive a built 2jz, LOL, you need a reality check - any engine that has been overworked has a different maintenance regime compared to factory. Meaning the 1000 hp supra videos you see are garage queens and require a day in the workshop after every road use.

400 hp supras will also need a lot of “pampering” and even more “caring and pampering” when its married to an RX8 because the rx8 ecu, eps and bcm etc are left in place because they are required to keep the canbus active in order to have functions like working gauges, ac, power steering etc.

The engine ecu of the 2jz runs as a standalone setup in the rx8.

Then you mentioned cars like cl9 and then suddently bmw 530?

Im not able to quite grasp your choice? You are jumping from a sports car to a front wheel drive econocar to a rwd midsize sedan.

Instead, get a Mark 2 x110 and put a 1jzgte in it easily 300 hp sleeper car in under 1.8 million. If you are asking about more engine swap ideas in RX8's, i've seen 5th gen 3sge blacktops in rx8's but i would advise u to avoid rx8 with these weird engine swaps.

Do you even know how mechanics fit 2jz 1jz in these are inline 6 cylinder engine
While swapping in these engine needs a lot of alterations plus you will be playing with structural rigidity of the vehicle

I won't recommend swapping in a JZ.
I did the same, first of all, the car kinda lost it's charm because it was never built for these engines, you need some insane engineering to reserve the car's original driving dynamics after swapping in a larger motor like the JZ. You'll have to cut the firewall, make hell lot of alterations to end up driving an UNRELIABLE toyota motor, you'll face electrical issues no matter what, traction issues, speedometer issues and what not. They're great engines but the fuel economy sucks. Won't recommend you to even think of doing this project. Get something better, a Crown/Mark II/Chaser
Their aerodynamics are designed to handle that engine, RX8s are better with rotaries but you can't afford to drive/maintain them either if you're a student saving up from your pocket money. Make something you can afford to drive instead of crashing it right out of the workshop, 300HP sounds cool/easy but it's no joke

Not just the structural rigidity, it'll be a pain in the back once he starts driving that thing after all those alterations. Driving it will never be as fun as a Rotary.
The next thing I'll do to my RX8 would be to get the rotary back and throw the 2JZ out.

Rebuilding a rotary is easier and cheaper.
Depends how you blew it. Rotaries are meant to be driven on higher RPMs, mostly the apex seals break and that's what causes the engine failure. My friend got his rotary rebuilt an year ago for 100k and the car is running fine. I drove his car after mine and cursed myself for not swapping the rotary instead of a JZ.
