Don't believe anything. Read up the TBN's of any given oil and then determine what is better or not. Oil companies that mention there TBN have less to be afraid of then those who don't. Not mentioning it is a sign of unchi dukaan pheeka pakwaan. Havoline oil's sold in PK come with their TBN's listed on the official website. For example you can go to even the korean website of Kixx and not find they mentioning the TBN's there. For example shell Pakistan and global website does not make the PDS easy to find, you will not be able to locate it on the product page this is a telling example of how they want to drown out the details through sheer branding only. Once you are able to locate a PDS for a shell oil you will fail to find the TBN there.

And on the topic of ZIC, at the end of the day it is a badami baagh oil, Pakistanion nay usko channay k jhaar par charra diya hai. ZIC itna mahaan hota tou aaj Pakistan aur Russia k ilawa kahin aur bhi bikk raha hota.

Tried both and felt caltex better. Last time it was 3600/4L from wholesaler and 4200 from retail

exaclty. the current price is 4200 indeed. btw what improvements did you find in caltex which made it your preference?

It’s not new !!
2 years back it has happened already and later it was revealed high level propaganda against zic.
Many dealers stop selling zic oils and start spreading such rumours. On the contrary Zic started their own outlets. After few weeks, the dealers again has to call zic to give their products because of high demands in the market.
And zic sales here in domestic market again come to top within few weeks.
The actual news will come later that it’s real news (based on nothingness) or has any reality....

agreed. nowadays everyone seems to be cursing ZIC, therefore I purchase their products from either their official website or their company owned HTL express. I have never faced any issue with their products.

Comparitively silent engine, better pick and fuel mileage.
Works good for 6000 as i drain it after 6k.
Last time tried Kixx 5w40 but no difference found. I'll revert back to caltex sooner.

IMO, Total Quartz 9000 Future Series 5w-30 will work absolutely fine in both City and Civic! And one can use it without any doubt in both of them. For 0w-20, I'm a bit sceptical, but only, manual can guide best!

@Xulfiqar Sb. Sir What's your opinion of using 0w-20 in Civic Turbo 1.5L? Locally assembled?

total 5w30 is indeed a very good oil but I am skeptical about total quartz since most of their outlets / stations carry pretty old stock. you can also try zic 0w30 or pso 5w30. Even in today's price hike, PSO carient fully synthetic is for rs. 3340 only while zic 0w30 is for 5000, total 5w30 is for 3900 and shell hx7 5w30 (semi synthetic) is for rs. 3800

Nowadays a new company brand named WENZOL Is seen in Karachi but no detail about manufacturer or address is mentioned.

What is the secrecy Behined this. They have ibtrodu Ed engine oil and gear oil.

Should we continue using it?

Do some research before posting atleast. It's recommended for superbikes and they do cost equal to a grande or a civic so do you really think a person that is spending 10-50 lakhs on his bike will use PSO ka 300 Wala oil? Think again.
