Dear All,
I received delivery of a new Picanto AT back in April 2021. From day 1, I am facing an issue that my car vibrates after it goes up above the speed of 30 kmph till 80 kmph... on my first day call the dealership told me to wait for the 1000 Kms as this is a new car and I don't have to worry about anything as they will check if that exists and fix it.

After 1kms... I visited their service center multiple times and each time I have to explain and show them by taking their mechanics... Also left my car over there for a week as they told me that some senior engineers will visit from KLM and check this issue. In the end, they told me that changing tires is the resolution.

Two tires have been changed as per their recommendation but the problem still exists... Now they told me verbally that this is Picanto's gearbox issue and exists in all and occurs when shifting gears on low RPMs .

Is anyone facing a similar issue?

Not at all. Never heard or experienced it. Is there a specific side where the vibration is coming from or it’s generalised.

No... It feel like the whole car is vibrating... It is the same kind of feeling when you have a bubble in your tyre and you are driving it.

brother if its a tyre/rim issue it should not be quick small vibrating driving, its wobbly drive like every circle the tyre takes and the faulty area makes road contact the car feels a bump or vibration.

i think its not the case in your car.

its the axle issue. happened with me on my reborn. car vibrating while accelerating. if that the case they need to change both front axles in warranty to fix the issue. one of them has play. its usually the outer kit of the axle which cause vibration while accelerating at slower speeds.

Is Kia Picanto with manual transmission worth buying? Is it worth upgrading from the 2015 Suzuki Alto as my daily driver, owned for 4.5 years?
But why manual transmission variant? We also have a 2012 Suzuki Swift DLX which I have been driving for 6.5 years and I never had an issue driving manual transmission in Karachi's traffic.
Also, I went to the dealership yesterday and they said the delivery time for the manual variant is 3 months compared to the automatic is 6 months due to its high demand. They also said their sales are very low (probably max 25%) compare to the automatic and the manual variant will likely be discontinued due to this reason.
Despite that, I have seen reviews of manual Picanto and the owners seem to be very happy with it.
Yes, the only issue can be the resale but I will be owning it for at least 5 years.

Just called for another inspection appointment based on your recommendation. Specifically requested them to align senior mechanics from the main KLM for visits and proper checkups.

However, as per my understanding from this overall experience is that their team/mechanics and team aren't experienced or even trained on their own products. Overall working with them and troubleshooting the actual issue is a very frustrating experience

Brother, I think you have JDM Alto. JDM Alto is far better than Picanto in terms of overall driving, mileage, and features. In my personal opinion, you should keep it

Upgrade Swift if you like as in the next year It will be the 10-year old.

dear dont worry, its a fixable issue. incase they are unable to dignose anything, just ask them to replace both front axles, specially the gear box side one. it should fix the issue.
