Yes it used to be black but painted by previous owner n i m planning to remove paint from it. like i cleaned the back number plate light cover, similarly i will remove paint from the above shield and only the embossed TOYOTA will remain white.

i too cant stand the white painted side mirrors on my corolla ee80..i would be painting them black again soon..the black n white combo looks killer to me..thats why i like my 84 more than 86 with color coded bumpers

some good rubbing polish will make it new.... also get it royal shielded..

No way if i get it rubbed, the paint will disappear as u can see the steel body from the edges

rubbing selected areas only... rest needs a good polish.. bumpers... i prefer black... no tension of paint wearing off
