Yes I replaced the hood. I guess previous owner hit it or something else, the area where hood locks with the body had a dent repair done. The putty here was coming off. The denter suggested me that as this area bears force while closing the hood, the putty will again get off. It's better to put a new bonnet for sake of peace of mind. I'm happy with decision now.

I didnt use Nexa paint, I used HiQ which is fine aswell. I paid the painter just labor of 20k. It took him around 3-4 days to finish the job which is decent. Also painters dont only work on a single car all day, they often take small jobs like a bumper paint etc in the mornings and then work on projects in the afternoons. 4-5k per day for a cars base is very decent. You could make a decent base in 2 days if you really put the work in and there isnt a major accident in the car.

I stayed with the car for 5 consecutive days. Our painter didn't work on another car during these 5 days. These things were predecided. I might have given more money to painter, but as I said earlier, I asked at least 5 different painters working in different areas of Rwp/Isb. All were asking about the same money (60K).

Well fair enough, perhaps in ISB/RWP the labor charges are higher. In KHI you can get a decent base done in as much as I quoted earlier.

Two rounds of compound/cutting are to be done. These pics are after completion of 1st round. 2nd round to be done after two/three weeks
