Honda BRV fuel consumption

Same experience on gt i got 14.2@110 and on moterway i got 12.5@125. And average drops immediately you enter city. I drive BR-V Manual 1.5 new version.

What fuel average are you getting in the city with normal to heavy traffic with ac on?plus does your cars meter eco sign turns on with your driving style or not?
Can i get alloy rim,infotainment system with back camera installed in brv manual from company?
What,s your say about the manual version of the car?
I would like to know ac performance of rear vents too please do they cool the car completely for a comfortable journey.
Seriously considering it over city or gli.

I am not a owner / user of BRV... Was initially interested in it when it was launched but backed out when I learned that is FWD only and is powered by a 1.5l engine.

Talking about the fuel average... I really doubt an auto BRV can given more than 9.5-10km/l within city... (I am not talking about the reading of the digital meter, I am talking about the real mileage... for example my City shows 13-13.5km/l but in reality it is around 11-11.5km/l). The engine is 1.5l, running a much bigger body than that of a Honda City... so in my opinion 9.5-10km/l is good enough.

It has a cvt transmission, which translates to better fuel efficiency than a prosmatic city.

Brother in city my avrage is 9.6 approx.
ECO turns on at times when i am not in the mode of driving
Yes i got navigation installed by company.
Manual is fine with me as i never drive any auto so its a choice with a little fuel difference i am sure. performance of ac is good as per my family they enjoyed there journey.

Fuel average with or without ac?with or without rush?with or without light foot?
Why are you getting that much bad fuel average even with manual variant?what is your location?ac performance on normal days or very hot sunny days was satisfactory or good or excellent?

2 months back I took BR-V from Karachi to Khunjrab pass and back to Lahore, about 4800 kms.. Fuel filled was 350 Liters, average was about 13.75..... I was very heavy on the accelerator, did off roading, drove uphill and in cities too.

Was it Auto or Manual ? and Sorry for going off topic since this is fuel consumption topic but i think you might be the best person to answer few questions i have as you have experience this car across whole Pakistan and in every type of terrain. i myself am planning to buy this car but am stuck in this dilemma and here are few things that might help me :

1. Is this car really under power, how was its performance while climbing uphills and overall performance ?
2. People here on PW have mentioned it has stiff suspension which they claim is very bad, is it true ! also what would you say about the comport level of this car?
3. What do you think about the resale of this car after few years ! this car has been in the market for more then year now so what would you say is it flop or hit ?
4. Would you consider it a semi SUV or MPV as Sunil Bhai have claimed in the pakwheels review ?
5. Would you recommend this car for me or not ? Here are my requirements:
   A) I live in northern region city Abbottabad, within city roads are great but have huge bumps and i mostly drive in city.(sedan could be my option too)
   B) Once a Month trip to Islamabad from Abbottabad mostly motorway.
   C) Once or Twice a Week travel to Village which you can say semi offroading kachi paki roads, mostly people prefer Xli and Glis cause of high ground clearance and reliability. roads achi hain laken har waqt koi na koi roads ban he rahe hote hai ya tooti hoi hote hain so a bit of semi offraoding you can say.
   D) Once a month or in few months i had to travel to hilly areas to visit some relatives e.t.c where you can say the roads are bit challenging, people there have been abusing corollas for years now but thats how it is and toyota has proved its self very reliable in northern region but the ground clearance is a big issue.

Anyways should i go for Honda BR-V or Altis 1.6 ? What would you suggest me !

Go for Altis 1.6..if you need comfort, class and durability..
However, Go for BRV..if your family is large.

Before replying you should know that I have no experience about Cars on Highway, in last 15 years I drove only SUVs on highways.... If I had driven City, Corolla or any other car, I would have given a good comparison

I had no problems, it didn't felt under power, easily went uphills... comparing with other 1500cc cars.

Comfort level was good, dont know what people are comparing with, Bentley? I have a back problem, i avoid using Corolla(my brother's ride) gives me back pain... Nothing in BRV, no pain.

I dont think its a SUV, its MPV, Honda should remove SUV from their site.

It has a good ground clearance, the travel you mentioned above, it will have no problems.

Its a good car for a family on 5, for city drives and few trips on hilly areas....
After my trip I got many calls about BR-V, I told them buy new and change every 3 years. The only problem I had was the AC, it worked fine while moving but in traffic jams it comes down to 40%.
I would suggest that drive it before buying it, rent it for a day or ask a friend to lend you or you can ask Honda for a test drive

If you have a big family, get the brv, if not, corolla is the way to go.

never consider the odo meter fuel average the diffierence in actual and odo is much bigger then ur espectation

tries multiple time from years...Honda city meter mileage show 17 and actual full tank to tlfull tank 12 kmpl

On GT I got 15.1 km/lit. I was driving it around 80-100 km/hour. I would say it's a great car and I don't know why people still go for hybrid. I am sure BRV can give around 17-18 km/lit on motorway easily.
