Yes one can start getting experience from industry , but under supervision of an ACCA i guess.

its compulsory for ICAP interns to join firm for experience where as ACCA students have choice whether to get experience from firm with monthly pay of 4-6k
or start a regular job of 15-20k n that counts towards the experience though firm experience has its own value if u get inducted in top 3

last time i checked its called big4

Yes i know, what i said was for ACCA students. They can join industry, but an ACCA must be there to sign their STRs, i think.

I think so, as ACCA gives status of accredited employer to reknown companies, for other non accredited employers there is such requirement. I ll get that confirm tomorrow and will let u know.

LAWL, i love the way people conduct internet searches and claim them google phd and in reality it is totally different. you dont need to give me online links to verify my claims, i know my thing otherwise i would have never participated in this thread.

Ideally your workplace mentor should be a qualified accountant. If they are not an ACCA member, they should be a member of a professional accountancy or audit body recognised by law in the country in which you work. If your workplace mentor isn’t qualified then you will need a ‘training supervisor’ as well.

i need advice on selection of papers for next attempt
today i gave F9 but due to theory parts i am not sure if i'll pass though i hope to
now for next session i was thinking to go for F8 n P2,but i think if GOD forbid i have to repeat F9 then F9 n P2 will be alot of burden so should i go for F8,P1 n P3,n in case if i have to repeat F9 then it will be F8,F9,P1 n P3
i dont theory papers much,n i think P1 n P3 both are pure theory,
or
F8,F9,P1,P2 would be better option?
please give suggestions

just talked to a friend giving P2 n P3 this time,he said P series papers require hell alot of study
so he said go for F8 n P2
n if u pass F9 then take P1 as well but only agar parhney ka bht shoq hai lol
so i guess i'll go with this advice,will take P1 after the result then if...
one guy sitting in next row was talking to other that this is the first paper that he attempted completely lol n yet he was surprised that total MV was given for WACC calculation n that redemption value not conversion value was to be used in IRR calculation hahaha
khair i did a really stupid mistake,deducted tax on CA :mad: which gave -ve npv n my commenting got wrong n then the ARR calculation as well

U can't attempt p series paper unless u pass all F series papers or unless u r attempting all remaining F series papers

You can attempt Paper from P series with F series paper if it is your last attempt of F series. Like in my case I have cleared all F series paper except F8.. So I am attempting F8, P2 and P3(P1 not cleared).
F8 done Alhamdullillah went perfect.. not P2 P3 left..
