Finaly 5AFE Swapped in EE90

Great now I am getting somewhere Idiot swap mechanic didnt install that T and pump started leaking so my mechanic got that installed and insisted the vacume ports should be there normaly they are broken. So now i got the complete switch all i need to do is get two pips and connect it :D.

BTW my mechanic says one of the pipes from power steering goes to vaccum switch on firewall. Is he correct?

He is wrong - the only vacuum switch thing is for the adjustable A/C idle up switch - the power steering pump pipes are direct.

btw the pipes should be hard as soft ones will collapse under vacuum

bhai thori modern relay purchase karletay, something that colour matches with your current plugs etc.

on every 5 pin toyota/mazda Circuit Opening relay with these pins its like this

4 5 6

1 = Earth - tap into ECU grounding wires point E01 (thick ones - not thin)
2 = 12V+ from main relay
3 = Fuel pump output signal (12V+ output)
4 = starter signal from key (tap into STA wire from ECU)
5 = blank
6 = fuel pump latch - (FC pin in ecu or FC pin in AFM)

I dont have any vaccum port left i will have to share vaccum of a/c and power steering or my cng KIT and Power steering by installing that T kinda thing.

you do have a vacuum port - what you are installing is all original not optional - the plenum has two thick pipes one leads to the A/C idle up and one leads to the power steering pump - check for where all the pipes go

Yes i got two on the intake. One is going to A/C Idle up. Other is going to CNG KIT. its a OLD model of LR which came with this vaccum type.

I will have to share one of them. Hmm which one can you please suggest?

sadly, i really cant take apart the whole wiring, will have to open up the dash for that, too much hassle for too little gain...

I'l go to some A/C wala and talk to them, see if they can figure it out. They must know...

by the picture the port you mentioned going to CNG kit is for the power steering pump VSV and the blocked port on the tree is also for the power steering pump VSV.

the other port is for the A/C as you correctly connected. For tapping the CNG regulator vacuum it would be ideal to put in a tee connection on some vacuum pipe - depending on the diameter of the vacuum pipe

it'll be tough to find an A/C workshop that knows his stuff - they usually slap and cobble things together - get some chilled air out of your vents no matter how, and off you go.

google the A/C amp for some other toyota to try to understand the wiring, or do it the plain relay way like I mentioned

hmmmm. one query. the yellow/black or black/yellow oil switch wire you were talking about, is it compressor oil switch or the engine oil switch (that lights up at the dash at ign ON) ? I do have the engine oil symbol light up at the dash panel...

tht rpm trouble fixed, i connected ac1 to the wrong wire....

the yellow/black is for engine oil pressure switch - your guy must have just used the carby wire and extended it to the oil switch

Only good thing the wiring guy did was to throw out all old wiring and installed this new wiring that came with engine. So all these things like oil guage or heat / reverse switch and everything is hooked up in the new wiring.

Only thing I had to cut was a/c wiring they had to cut the original plug wires from the loom to hook just one positive wire.

@ahsan......Being serious every time is not me I wish you do it and figure it out yourself ...if you don't have work space like me....so these big things are hard to handle then.......!! still you can supervise them how to wire your way rather than doing their way...

@waqas.....no vacuum pipe from that PS switch goes to any thing on firewall...they are directly in/out from engine ......!! use T connection to connect if you CNG Kit uses the one meant for Powers Steering.....!! this will help you idle better while you use steering on parking places specially......!

b.t.w if you need to wire up amplifier ahsan.......1st figure out the pins on amplifier.....then on compressor .........draw both points on paper nicely and wire them 1st on paper and see how it goes and then proceed....thats how i do these wiring work when i do something new complicated.....!! My 2 cent advice

there is absolutely nothing on the a/c amplifier board. im gona have to use the trusty old multimeter, some long stretch of wire, and a +12volt source and trace out which wire goes where, do some continuity tests etc etc...tedious work!

again played with the tps today
i downloaded some factory manual for 4afe/5afe/7afe and translated its russian to english (the tps part). it said something like:

so finally after adjustments, with throttle fully closed, vta measures 0.4 Kohms.

...and then I cleaned out all the grounds, added a 1 or 0awg (dunno which) ground from body to battery -ve

and you can name what you want for a treat

I tried all possible settings of TPS still i get variable RPM some times its 800 some time 900 some time 600 some time 700 hehe so i am living with it. ECU change ka baad check kara gey.

I went to the engine guy and watched all 5AFE engines saw how there TPS and Throttle stop screw adjusted. TPS all had litttle different settings but throttle stop screw was on same settings on all engines so got that adjusted like them.

I will hook up Power steering pump vaccum pipes that will also help I tested it and it works as soon as you move steering rpm raise by 200.
