congrats u r lucky u got licence from Sharjah...they r the hardest to get now in UAE....i got my dxb licence on 2nd attempt too with 20 classes...but after more than a yr due to traveling back n forth which delayed the test day

Yes this is true this driving license is forever. Initially this is for 10 years validity. Geting Sharjah driving license is the most dificult in the UAE. And 2nd thing this is manual license. I can drive both cars ( manual & Automatic)
But the people who get automatic license , can drive only automatic.

"Al-Ahli" & "Belhasa", both are good. Al-Ahli has best passing rate as of now.
1. If you've good control on driving and you follow all the rules whatever driving school will teach you, then you'll get your license in 1st/2nd attempt.

1. If you hold valid PK license more than 1 year old then it will reduce the number of training classes. If you don't hold an old license then you'll have to take minimum 40 classes, means more $ going out of pocket.

I got both Driving (M/T) & Riding License from Dubai, got both in 1st attempt (Alhamdolillah). Spent 5k aed on Driving License and around 4k aed on Riding license as didn't had any previous valid license. So, having old license will save your money n time.

It's not very tough, if Saudi and UAE tests are similar that is. I got mine at my first try in Jeddah. Getting used to the turn signal stick and viper stick takes time though

Its definitely not the same... Saudi License holders have to take a few lectures and driving classes before giving the Road tests here...

Yeah all I had to do was provide them with a medical, my Pakistan based license, MCQ test and a Road test in which you have to drive through obstacles and then there is a final reverse test, pretty easy actually.

if you think the UAE test is tough, then you should even attempt the German driving license test and not even dream about the Finnish license test.

Dubai license requires;
Knowledge test, side parking & reverse parking test, emergency brake test and hill test for in-premesis and then road-test with plenty of rules to follow..
Yes, In case of holding old valid license, there are some relaxations.

Sharjah is the most difficult - You got it mabrook.
A D/L from Sharjah is respected MOST across GCC - Dubai being the most lowest in rating thats where the MONEY counts min of 23 classes (do 18 classes pay for 23 & driving institute manage Success in 2nd test) and 3 test. Done you'll get Dubai licence.
other 5 states are further lenient.

Truly Saudis are the worst drivers, most common act is when one doesn't give way to a car in the fast lane, the driver at the back kisses the bumper of the car ahead and floors the pedal.

My Manager in Dubai got his license on 5th or 6th attempt

I was almost failed in my first test In ISB when the DSP asked me what the yellow line on side of road is for.

Last week I was in Dubai though in my previous years visits I found UAE traffic to be better than now and especially the Pakistani Pathan taxi drivers drive just like they drive in PK even saw one giving 20 horns to a car waiting at a stop line
