Quick question. I installed the Michelin Primacy 3 tires on my Civic X when i purchased it. The tires were purchased from a very well reputed shop in Karachi, so they were not fake or anything and the construction year was also 2018 (a few months old).

My car has now driven about 24,000 km and it seems the grip levels have significantly gone down. Even on the slightest hard acceleration, traction control is kicking in to prevent wheelspin (which i can clearly feel on the steering wheel). I only drive in the city and have not abused the tires in any way. I also did my first tire rotation at 15,000 km as well so the wear is evenly spread on front and back. The tread looks absolutely fine as well.

My question to the experts on this group is: Is this normal at 24k? Should i be looking at a tire change? And if so, which would be the highest recommended tire for Civic X in 2022?

Tyres have two types of life.

A. Mileage

B. Life

In your case this seem to be life issue.

Either adjust your habit of pushing it hard or change it.

BTW most of tyres loose some traction after 25k which is normal.

Aoa,
I have always loved the civic x looks, and want to own one.is it good time to buy 2021 slightly used civic? Or I should go for 0 meter with premium.
The cars which I have seen on jail road lhr are all below 10k but their tyres doesn't seems to be driven 10k as they seem 40-60% worn off and I am not sure if they can reverse the odo, the 21 used cars are 45lacs and new one are 45+3(premium) + registration.
As this would be my first time owing a civic x I would love your suggestion on what to buy.
I currently own altis 2016 from last 2years and live in lahore, which is why I don't want to get old civic x as I read they had issues. Looking forward for your suggestions. Thank you.

Get the best possible available used car y waste 5 lac extra for new, get a good used one and if they are on BG luxo just change the tyre and enjoy the ride

Get a used one with service history.

2016-2018 would be better as you would get good deal.

Known issues are steering rack that can happen in any car. If you get car with service history, you will be sure to know and if it had been replaced then no need to worry.

With 2020-2021 , the price difference isn't much and better get new instead

AOA,

I'm planning on buying Civic 2017 or 2018. (Oriel).

I have a few questions:

1) Given the vast array of issues that older Civic models had, is it safe to buy 2017 or 2018 Model?
2) Is PakWheels Inspection enough to verify the car condition - If not, any alternatives?
3) What should i change immediately after buying the car?I'm thinking all fluids, break pads, tires, radiator service, AC Service.. Anything else i should change? What would be the cost of all this?
4) What would be the transfer cost?
5) Anything else i should keep in mind?

Don't think too much on issues.

Few issues were there that can happen in new car.

Get a well maintained car preferably with service history

A good car wouldn't need major overhaul/ changes .

Better to take someone who owns civic X

All issues are repairable inshallah
U can try pakwheels better to take a checking pen or paint thickness meter along with u try to lock a deal on a single handed first owner car whose first owner is in front of u not an open letter one
Immediately i changed engine oil air filter ac filter transmission fluid transmission filter spark plugs fuel filter brake pads throttle cleaning
Tyre upgraded to conti uc6 after some time
Ac service was for 7 k including genuine honeywell usa gas
Transfer done for 15 k filer year before
Ac steering and battery 3 issues were all together present in my car when i bought at 31 k mileage
Battery replacement and ac coil replacement done by seller i repaired steering in 15 k 2 days back after driven it total 40000 km now car at 71000km
Catalytic and plugs are fine
Throttle service
Transmission fluid filter replace
Fuel filter replace done
All this done 2 days back
Car hardly run 50 km in a day and shows an average of 11.5 km/L

The Thailand made Honda OEM oil filter, which we usually get in our market, has 8 oil intake points. I have my eyes on this Honeywell (USA) produced Honda oil filter, which I really want to use in my vehicle. My concern is that this USA made oil filter has 10 oil intake ports. My question is that will this oil filter properly align if I decide to use it in my PKDM civic X?

Better flow prolly but its hard to say unless someone adds oil pressure sensor & monitor.
Honeywell is the newer one adopted by Honda usa but old design oil filter is also being sold. I would consider amsoil oil filter as a better option over these two.

I got so many usa made Honda's genuine oil filters & Fram oil filters from abroad & genuine Thai made, nothing to worry abt for holes, all honda oil filter are same & can be use in any Honda car.
