Choosing small tyre for Toyota Vitz 2011

First and foremost change oil grade to 5w30 fully synthetic total ,shell or any reputed brand . Keep a close look on oil consultant if occur after 1000 km etc . As you said changed half assembly 3 months ago so should there be no issues if assembly was in good condition . 1kr fe runs smooth on 5w30 . I recommend gumout regane fuel system cleaner or liqui moly. Please get rid of 20w50 dinosaur oil

I called the engine mechanic before to ask about it he said only use kixx 20w50.
I contacted ZIC because i use their lubricants. They said as we donot know the running of new engine so we would recommend 20w50.
So if I am to go against their suggestions, and apart from the fact thay from last 3000km i have used 20w50, would there be any problem if I shift to zic 10w40 or any other brands 5w-30?

Please proceed with caution they are right, one thing you can do is try 10w-40 and check if engine becomes noisy or any other abnormality if noticed change back on the spot. Don't prolong it

You are giving hard time to your engine specially your Oil pump is under continous stress.

Use 5w30 only and don't listen to those mechanics. Simply showing that if they are insisting, your engine is already on last breath so that's why they are misguiding you by hiding engine poor condition.

Increase tyre pressure to safe extent and drive with light foot.

Never decrease your existing tyre size

Don't worry and don't listen to these so called super mechanics . My car is 2008 model vitz 2sz fe engine swapped and I pour 5w30 despite engine old 120k kms and don't know how much it ran in Japan . Listen to Toyota manual which recommends 0w20 to 5w20 or 5w30 for 1kr fe when engine is healthy . 10w30 as a last resort then rebuilding or overhauling . If you are so worried then pick 10w30 at least otherwise 5w30 is best choice .
