Khan Baba at Choburji.
perhaps most expensive daal in the world.
One plate cost Rs. 700/-
but taste is really really awesome and unforgettable.

He is overpriced for nothing. Good taste doesn't mean to cost 5x the price.

i have recently moved to lahore from islamabad...
my first experience;
bhayya model town.. pathetic tasteless kababs
nafees dahi bhallay barkat market... waste of money
shahi murgh chanay faisal town link road ... greasy pile of dark brown material
biryani from biryani express barkat market : excellent
biryani from karachi bbq dha h block : tasteless
bbq from kabab jees H block: faarigh tareen

pls tell me some really good places...naam k sath taste b ho...and pure desi wala...

Spice Bazar on Mm alam road 3rd left when coming from mini market side
bait-al-mandi near shokat khanum hospotal opposite UCP
Namak restaurant fasal town
waris Nehari Iqbal town near moon market
Mohamadi Nehari mazang
Goga nakibya Model town
Arif tawa chicken taxali gate near food street new one
Phajja paye Johar town when you cross LDA building going towards shokat khanum.

these are all awesome in my books and easily reachable by Car.. there are other hard core desi places in androon lahore but going on car is hell and alot of khowari

Went to nafees dahi bhallay model town.. Heard that PM nawaz is a customer of this shop. Dahi bhalla Taste was good but not extra ordinary. Its not even close to the taste of Deen chaat and dahi bhalla at jamia masjid road rawalpindi ..

I don't know I mentioned it earlier or not, Habib Sindhi Biryani on Bund Road near City Bus Terminal (opposite to Shell Petrol Pump). Taste is very good.

Yes, the black pepper karahi is quite good.

if you eat in their sitting place be careful of your belongings there is lot of rush

I went to Krados last week. New outlet opposite to LDA office Johar Town.
Food was average but service was tooo bad. I dont think they had an idea of what's going on.

Ambiance is not good at all. For guys hanging out, you can give it a shot but with family and little kids, not the place to be for sure.

Some recommendations:

Balochi Sajji, Gaddafi stadium.....Good ambiance, reasonable prices, tasty food

Gun somke, Gulberg..... Expensive but yummy

Bundu khan.....anywhere....tasty desi food with reasonable prices

Namak restaurant.....Moon Market....Allama Iqbal town...if you are into sajji's and are a meat lover

BBQ tonight...Gulberg......excellent but went there about 4 years back so no idea whether they have maintained there standards or not

as mentioned above i think waqas biryani is at the top imo and beware there are actually two waqas biryani at hall road both use same style packaging but the waqas adjacent to the bike stand is original and taste good before that sanam biryani was the deal located at bhandara center ichra near bridge crossing but let me clarify one thing every one has its own taste and likes
