It's actually pretty surprising, people here in France do not really know the Black Top. Everyone knows the Honda VTEC engines, but if you tell them about an ITB'd 20 valve Toyota engine, they stare blankly at you. Toyota cars have a reputation of cars for pensioners or grocery getters. So 100 bhp/litre NA engines are quite out of the ordinary.

dont talk to them in english they will stare at yr beard,,blankly.

. ofcourse with thelil bit torque on 4age, it works well for grocery,

turn a corner throttle, slow down, another corner,, throttle , slow down dead stop, red light. another corner ,, yr home.

mind you, you all need groceries.

skylinedriftmaster uses 4age for grocery even in snow, donest matter if he cant reach home before lunch!,, its fun going sideways.. :D.

i use 4age for grocery but instead of stopping at store i drive on .... come back at dinner without food. damm 4age!

4age came from factory in both front and rear wheel drive cars.

b16 came from factory in front wheel drive car.

you had choice what to buy.

@immad100 : Bro Front wheel drive with over 200hp creates some massive understeer and are not as fun to drive as rear wheel drive car that is why more sports cars are RWD and you have more car control in RWD car .

Just my view about both the engines.
Have driven levin bzg which had 20valve BT 5speed and an EK9 with B16B.
B16B way more powerful and fun to drive with close ratio gearbox. The 20valve is jst overrated and was a huge disappointed for me as i expected alot from it.
I would definately go for b16B over 4age when it comes to power.

nd fwd vs rwd is a separate thing,stock honda cars which came with b16 were not stable?had traction issues? thats the problem we face when we swap our local rides with the help of local mechanics and what we get is poor traction just because of pooorly balanced motor in bay,inadequate suspension with respect to motor bla bla bla.
regarding a rwd machine are u sure about all rwd's are stable? what about 2jzgte swapped rx8's?? a rwd dodge viper is way difficut to handle!but i dint mean that,i was just in comparrison of OUTPUT only:)

Altis isnt a 4AGE 20v :S ... oh and btw there are countless occasions where Silvertop Corollas have been beaten in Karachi by D16 VTECs even ... B16 to duur ki baat. I think a fair comparision would be cars that come with the motors stock ... and are in decent condition. Too many variables with swaps, mainly the engines condition itself.

immad bro in a drag race b16b will out perform 4age but on a track fwd-rwd matter alot , on track in less powerful rwd car throw the car into the corner and maintain slip angle and while exiting the corner mash the throttle but in fwd car into the corner u either can steer or accelerate at high speeds.

@xcaliber dont forget to mention altis had a 2zzge plus accord had more body weigh but still beat altis.
2zzge cant even come near to k20 even if it is born again:D

also i have driven s2000,, its pretty sporty thing to drive, i dont think its powered by B16.

in the end the engine goes in car, so its the car that matters. yr not driving ard sitting on a engine

if i buy a new civic and i gather courage to put it under serious tools i'd go for k20 swap
regarding fwd rwd thing yes rwd is better when we talk about cornering,stability because front wheels are free to steer in a rwd setup.
