@ Moak/Asad: I called you yesterday but no answer. Then i called Tariq and had a nice chat.Opt 1. I am now thinking of swapping a LSD tranny along with the required changes like distributor etc. Then, also changing the head to a vtec one. Hopefully this would do for the time being.
Opt 2.Tariq also suggested to just swap in a B16 auto. Due to inavailability of manual. Although the horses will be significantly higher in the B-series, the feel of a manual tranny is a different world all together.
Tell me which is a better option?

@ayaz. no prob bro.n yea i was talking about a project that i just did.i swaped in a jdm sohc ZC motor in my cousins 95.hes crazy for auto trannys and would only drive autos if he had the option...he sold 88 auto accord and bought a 95civ...then we swaped in a sohc auto ZC.that motor we got is in great condition...great power even though its auto...and.. it just is that way...it engages the vtec almost like a B...

@shrm1. man my cell is always layin somewhere around...so i prob missed yr call. n ye yr right...auto wont be as fun.there are limited sohc lsd trannys left in shershah...costing around 20-25ka vtec head would cost around 5-7k approx..first of all...tell me whats yr budget?or yea just give me a call right now...

I just wanna know that can d15b3 can be converted to d15b efi vtec one with swapping with head only?.
Can its old block can be used with head of d15b efi or else?
Basically friend dont want to replace his civic engine and dont want to get into hassle of replacing old engine number with new one.
So is there any way that engine can be converted to some d15b vtec efi engine keeping original engine no?
I m totally dont knw about this engine swapping but thats wat my friend asked me to ask someone...so i posted it here:)

@all: guys i need some more advice. Here is the complete story.After getting the engine swap, what i have in my car is a breed on its own.I have a D-15b block, with D16y6 Ecu, p2j head and p2k air intake. The engine has 4 codes.1st code: VSS (thus the vtec doesnt engage).2nd code: something to do with temprature3rd code: engine is consuming too much fuel4th code: I dont remember exactly.
Dilemma: p2j ecu is not available. the head is not all that great (i mean the vtec head i just installed). Wiring is messed up, which will cost about 3k to re-wire/fix. Fuel average rite now is 4km/ litre. If i drive it on Cng, the water runs dry after about 30-35kms.
I have an option to swap a complete d-15b with lsd manual tranny for 50k installed. or i can unload a few thousand to put some life into this engine.
What can i do?

Can you tell exactly which codes the engine is giving ? Code number I mean.
Till you sort those out, you are going to get problems. Tinker around ... get whole new wiring and a p08 ecu and you wont have any issues.

I've dug up my thread as a sequel. The D15b with p2j ecu, manual tranny is working awesome. Absolutely no trouble. I've got MSD in there as well.
@Asad (Moak89): If i get the pm7 pistons, along with ZC head, what ECU would i need? Would the p2j work? IF not, can we piggy back with Vafc or chage of Ecu is a must??
Does anyone have a vafc for sale? I need one in working condition.
Whats the cost of a b16a second generation......in good condition taken care of and not abused??? Just need to get an idea, as prices have sky rocketed.

stock d15b with pm6(D16a6) pistonswill give u 11.4:1 compression thats more then enough for your d15but u need po8 obd1 ecu d15b block d15b head... and same d15b rodsforget about pm7 they go above 14cr lols

with the following specs Intake lift=0.384 duration=244Exhaust lift=0.370 duration=228
is more superior to the two camshaft specifications that I mentioned above and how is it more superior to it. do give reasons.

for superiority there are many aftermarket production cams...toda spoon skunk etc etc and i replied for the MINI-ME project !!! not for building a blue printed d15b block with aftermarket products!!No harsh feelings bro but i just wasnt talking about ani afterm,arket parts but d15b cam is just as aggressive as a ZEX 59300btw u didnt answerd my question whch cam profiles u showed me????
dont confuse your self in S20 or S40... look for B000 series gear box and preferably LSD. NON LSD 10kLSD 20kthe above prices are the same for S20 and S40
