AZAD KASHMIR visit from Karachi. (19 JUNE TO 30 JUNE)

22 June: After breakfast we leave for KEL during our drive we decided to go Taobat first as it is saturday so there will be more rush in KEL. At mid day we reached kel and have lunch then we proceed to Taobat. Towards Taobat to KEL road is suitable only for 4 by 4, becuase there are difficult patches there, although we saw even mehran in taubat.

All the way we witnessed some beautiful scenery, there are villages in between them, normally this area is unexplored but more beautiful, local are very friendly.

Thank you! Btw do you have any idea if it is safe to travel to Neelum in this season (early August) considering the flash floods and traveling by public transport in Neelum.

Not recommended for families to travel in monsoon season; especially when you have kids with you

since rains started after 08 July 2019 every day there are road accidents reported up north tracks between tourist points, TV channels are reporting only 10% , excercise caution please

Yes, we also experienced rains almost every day not so harsh though, but we go towards Taobat its very consistent raining, and we take more time to reach there.In the middle of the journey our driver stopped before one dangerious point and said it is very risky to rise on that turn in raining

Any way we reached Taobat at night. We already booked Taobat continental guest house on phone early on at 2000/ room, so we r not worrying about booking guest house. It is located at a beautiful place and its alone. Its run by a local family, we enjoyed our stay here, There contact no is 0355-8507096

23-June : Stayed at Taobat visiting around and enjoyed the scenery and envoirnment. There is a Traut fish hachery farm arount there, its nice to go there.

Overall taobat is beautiful place, lush green valley, as not many tourist go there so it is peaceful and quiet. Water of Neelum is excellent here, we really enjoyed the envoirnment here.

24-July: Return back to KEL after breakfast on hired Jeep. Near KEL rain has been started and continued as we go towards Arang Kel

We take some luggage in hand carry bags for one day trip to Aang Kel. Because u cant take heavy luggage with u.

Wooden sticks available on rent on cable car station in KEL, better take that, it helps out hiking

During rain travel to Arang Kel is difficult but we manage it thanks to wooden sticks.

It took around 50-60 min(with rest) after cable car ride to reach us top at arang kel.

Excellent. It is liftime experience of hiking towards Arang Kel. Lift was closed when we did it. so it take about 2 hours to compelte this task.

Guest house charges in Arang kel is 3100 for two rooms, but food is really expensive here.
Enoirnment is really good. we reached here around asr time and stayed at night. It is really muddy because of rain. Next morning weather is really nice sun is shining in morning and i have taken some good fotos.

25-JUNE: Again after early morning sunshine we got another twist of weather, dark clouds are coming from north and again we got some showers, not harsh though

Its time for return to KEL after breakfast , our bill for breakfast and chapati for dinner and tea is around 2900 rs in Arang Kel. We used our tin packs in dinner.

We return to KEL around midday. Packed our baggage to Hiace van and ready to depart back to Muzaffarabad.

Reached Muzzafarabad at night, earlier just have a try for Jugran resort for booking but was not succeed as it is pack. Also valley trakker resort at Jugran found pack.

Ratti gali lake way has been blocked after 4km from Doarian, so u have to travel around 14 km after that on foot, with families it is also not possible

26-June:DAO KHAN

Whats next ,as we already have few spare days

From Muzzafarabad booking office we get 2 days booking of "AJK Rest house Dao Khan" its 2300/day/room
One of our colleague already visited there and its our driver's one of favourite destination.

Its around over 2 hr from Muzzafarabad on leepa valley road. Till Rashian, v travel on leepa valley road after rashian 4km a link road take us towards Dao khan.

Its 8126ft above sea level, very cold weather as compared to few hours earlier in Muzzafarabad.

But we have to take all our groceries to take with us as Guest house provides only cooking facilities. Although there was a shop with a only private guest house here, but its expensive and limited

So we shop for breads, eggs, Ata, Jam,Tea, Milk, Achar, Chicken, beef, Rice , masala packets, Fruits, .

Also our driver sahab arranged us cylinder with gas, in case they have short of gas, but gas is available in guest house and near Rashian bazar.

Adacent to it is forest rest house , but nobody is there

All the way road to Dao khan in excellent condition, fully carpeted road, newly built, and even mehran will go easily there, no problem.

So there is no border or fence in between? I have'nt seen any army check posts on either side and anyone can cross the river easily.
